President Trump says he's ready to veto every bill passed by a prospective Democrat Congress:
π¨πΊπΈ Trump ready to wield VETO POWER if Republicans lose Congress βI have the ultimate power. It's called 'veto,ββ Trump reportedly said ahead of tonight's midterm results. POTUS said he's prepared to block Democratic legislation if the GOP relinquishes its congressional majorities. He also pointed to a recent Supreme Court ruling expanding his authority over federal agencies, arguing he can push ahead with his agenda regardless of who controls Congress. Democrats could win Congress, but Trump still holds the veto Sharpie. Source: CBS News / Writer: Marie

what a mess in NY-17

Huge ballot drop out of FL-14 gives Democrat Kathy Castor at 13 point lead over Republican Mike Beltran. 71 percent of the vote reporting, and more than half of the reported ballots are from early voting.
In Florida, 44 percent of the vote is in for the Moskowitz v. Singer race in the 25th Congressional District β rated "Lean Democrat" by the Cook Political Report.
The Democrat, Moskowitz, is up with 56 percent of the vote as of now. But most of that is coming from returns in Boward and Miami-Dade County right now.
Don't get mad at me, but am I wrong for constantly mistaking Mike Lawler for Zohran Mamdani whenever I see a picture of him?
And here we go
BREAKING: Polls have closed in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia. Vote counting is underway, with control of Congress on the line as Republicans and Democrats await the first results from key races nationwide. An interesting post about the Dems and the Latino vote this cycle
According to NBC News exit polling, the Great Latino Comeback for Democrats is apparently just 6 points on net (D-R). It was 33 points in 2018, 10 points in 2024, and now is 16 points. That's D43 R27 I30. That is not what pre-election polling showed. Times/Siena National poll showed D+26 for Party ID and D+30 for Party Lean. (That poll was D+11 for the CGB all LVs). Times/Siena Composite Battleground polling was D+22 (TX IA KS MI AK OH ME).

I expect power outages, voting machine errors, and broken water pipes.
If Dems start doing poorly, polling locations catch Venezuela syndrome, and everything goes to s**t

π¨ BREAKING: Sec. Markwayne Mullin announces DHS will be COMBING THROUGH election logs nationwide to make sure illegal aliens and noncitizens did not vote β and if they did, BIG FAFO IS COMING "We WILL be looking at the registers and all the voting and all those that voted after the election β and making sure that no one voted illegally, because even even past this election, it is still DHS's job to make sure that this was an election that was handled by the federal laws. Meaning that only those that were legally able to vote, voted." "After this election we'll be gathering voting logs, and we'll be going through those and making sure that no illegals voted." Noncitizen voting is already a federal crime. Now FINALLY we are actually checking! DOJ has charged noncitizen voters in multiple states this fall Every illegal ballot cancels out an American's vote! The days of "trust us" elections are OVER! πΊπΈ

I'm a little more pessimistic. I'd put money on the Democrats taking the House, but the GOP retaining the Senate with 52 seats.
Here's hoping that I'm pleasantly surprised!
