In the exhilaration of victories achieved just five months into President Donald J. Trump’s second term in the White House (including passage of his “One Big Beautiful Bill” in the U.S. House and returning common sense to government after the disastrous four years of President Autopen) America must remain cognizant that we live in a very dangerous world.
Americans—particularly casual news consumers, the civic equivalent of low-information voters on election day - face existential threats which are not being honestly reported in the last wheezing gasps of the Legacy Media. Although the Associated Press has been properly exposed for its anti-Trump bias and in spite of perennial joke MSNBC losing 41% of its primetime audience in recent months, most media outlets remain fully committed to undermining President Trump by minimizing or ignoring his stunning successes. Worse, they are failing to sound alarms over real threats facing the United States…including the three most obvious ones.
Up front, Congressional Democrats have totally collapsed and have abdicated their responsibility to even show up for work (code: Senator John Fetterman). They patently refuse to provide debate, let alone show any signs of reaching common ground with Republican leaders like U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and U.S. Senate Majority Leader John Thune in crafting legislation to improve our economy, our safety, and our national security. Nope, today’s Democratic Party: they’re too busy preening for the TV cameras with juvenile stunts like Cory Booker’s “25-hour marathon warning” and Hakeem Jeffries' dopey sit-in on the steps of the Capitol.
As Speaker Johnson noted on the Salem Media news program THIS WEEK ON CAPITOL HILL with Tony Perkins, “Not a single Democrat—not one—voted for our Big Beautiful Bill, which will be jet fuel to the U.S. economy. It is pro-growth and will lower tax rates, slash regulations, and incentivize manufacturing again.”
Rather than supporting that positive, landmark legislation, House Democrats have devoted most of their energy to trying to bail out a dangerous, wife-beating illegal alien whom President Trump deported to a prison in his native country of El Salvador. If they ever succeed, their single accomplishment of 2025 will be to add yet another violent and dangerous illegal to the streets of America to prey on innocent American families. So, irresponsible Congressional Democrats are Threat #1 facing our nation.
Second on the hit parade is Hamas, the Islamic radicals whose cowardly October 7, 2023 terror attacks on Israel left thousands dead or taken hostage… prompting strong military response from Israeli forces which have turned the Gaza Strip into a wasteland. But despite Israel agreeing to any number of cease fire proposals in an effort to secure release of hostages still being held in Gaza, Hamas remains silent…hoping their foot-dragging will gain them time to regroup for mounting future attacks.
Former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton—author of the aptly titled memoir Surrender Is Not An Option, told the Salem Radio Network this week that Israel never used to negotiate with terrorists…but may be feeling international pressure to do so. That would include (See Threat #1, above) Democrats in Congress like Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) who urged the International Criminal Court “to swiftly issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials to finally hold them accountable for this genocide” in Gaza. Nutty ideas like that—given publicity by a compliant media—trigger not only outrageous pro-Hamas demonstrations on American campuses but this week led a Chicago man to gun down two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington, D.C. while screaming “Free, Free Palestine” for, you guessed it, on-scene TV reporters.
The third—and biggest—threat facing the world is Iran. Ever since the days of Jimmy Carter’s presidency when Islamic kooks violently overthrew the pro-U.S. Shah of Iran, that nation has been a petri dish for funding radical groups throughout the Middle East which have killed thousands of Americans and Israelis, and now threaten our entire globe as they continue their “peaceful” nuclear program, enriching uranium, but only allegedly for domestic energy purposes, wink wink.
In 2016, one of Donald Trump’s campaign promises was that he’d pull America out of the stupid “deal” Barack Obama made with Iran: in exchange for their pledge to cease development of nuclear weapons, Obama in 2015 directed our military to fly $1.7 billion of CASH to Iran.
As Senator Ted Cruz observed at the time: "Under Barack Obama, in the catastrophic Obama-Iran nuclear deal, the Obama administration sent $1.7 billion in cash in unmarked bills on pallets in the dead of night in a plane flown into Iran. That money is fungible. And when you flood the Ayatollah, who is chanting ‘Death to America' with over $100 billion, in a very real sense that money that the Obama administration allowed to flow into Iran is what helped fund missiles that were attacking our servicemen and women."
Israel—ground zero for Iranian radicals—has had enough and is said to be readying massive air strikes to take out Iran’s nuclear capability once and for all. This past week, the Trump Administration quietly signaled to the Israelis that they might prefer Israel to hold off, as a deal with Iran was on the horizon…but then Iran itself said that was untrue. The old bidding-for-time game.
The fact is that Iran has launched two separate ballistic missile attacks against Israel in the past year. The Netanyahu government in Jerusalem cannot risk that the next missile might contain a nuclear warhead. Which is why Israel must strike—decisively—against Iran, a rogue nation which is also feared by Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other countries throughout the Middle East. When Iran is hit, the world will be a safer place. Period. End.
Time to kick over the Three-Legged Stool threatening America and the world. We voted to return Donald J. Trump to the White House and to give Republicans control of Congress. Let’s stop negotiating with terrorists at home and abroad—take the gloves off—and get on with the business of Making America Great Again.
