The Left is very upset.

Admittedly, they're always upset about something, and usually a lot of somethings, most of which are nonsense, which is true right now. On top of hysteria about a privately funded ballroom at the White House that's requiring some demolition of parts of the East Wing – the wing that literally no one gave a damn about until now – they're also very upset over gerrymandering.

It seems that some Republicans in various states, such as Texas, are looking to use redistricting to perhaps pick up a few seats for the GOP.

This is the worst thing ever, according to Democrats.

Why?

Because that's how they tend to roll, and they don't like the competition.

Over and over again, they do what they can to suppress Republican voters' effectiveness and to elect more Democrats despite the actual political makeup of the state.

Look at California, for example. In 2024, nearly 39 percent of voters chose President Donald Trump over Kamala Harris, yet only 17 percent of their House delegation is Republican.

In New York, Trump took more than 43 percent of the vote, but Republicans account for just 27 percent of the state's House delegation.

The reason for this is that Democrats have long used gerrymandering as a tool for keeping Republicans out of office. Yes, they're the majority, but they use that power to suppress the opposition and thus undermine the concept of our representative republic.

More than that, look at some of the districts in these states. They make shapes that simply cannot appear in nature, looping around other districts, stretching miles upon miles along a thin path, and a host of other forms that are a clear indication that the districts were shaped in order to get a preconceived outcome around election time.

So yeah, Democrats have done this for decades. Now, they're just mad that Republicans are pulling the same tricks.

Lucky for them that the mainstream media won't call them on it, but the reality is there for anyone to see if only they cared to look.

Gerrymandering is never going to be a good thing, but it's also the way things work when it comes to districting in state legislatures. You either do it or get overwhelmed by people in other states who won't blink at the chance to overwhelm their opposition through dirty means. Gerrymandering is the least of what Democrats have been accused of doing and, in some cases, convicted of as well.

At some point, Republicans had a choice, and they're making it. They're taking the steps they probably should have taken years ago.

The fact that Democrats are outraged over something they've been doing for generations is nothing new. The fact that Republicans finally woke up and are fighting back, though? That's news, and news we've all needed to see.

So, Dems, spare me your tears. You didn't cry when you were doing it and screwing over the American people, all in order to take and hold as much power as possible, so I don't want to hear jack from you when someone finally evens the score.
