Citizen Journalism Just Took Out a Communist Dictator

The bigwigs mock citizen journalism. The mainstream press scoffs at these folks who have the passion to cover the news, which is silly. Anyone can be a reporter—all you need is a phone and Internet access. No one has a monopoly on storytelling or reporting what goes on in the country. To think that ABC News, CNN, MS Now, and others are the gold standard and the gatekeepers to this profession is a gross sense of self-importance that borders on psychopathy. The exposure of fraud in Minnesota was not only a victory for freedom of the press but also another example of how legacy outlets are no longer needed if they continue to behave this way. And by that, I mean being absolute trash at their jobs.

Folks, a YouTuber cracked the case. Sure, local outlets reported on Somali-led fraud for years, but it never went anywhere. Nick Shirley went on the ground, visited these so-called "daycares," and found them empty, occupied only by a bunch of Somali dudes. These centers were collecting millions in funds, and he blew up the whole operation in one viral video.

The response has been Health and Human Services shutting down child care payments until the fraud allegations are mopped up, 2,000 federal agents tasked with investigating the fraud, and the U.S. Department of Labor reviewing the state's unemployment benefits claims. The gravy train is over, one that Gov. Tim Walz let run with impunity for years. It has now led to a Justice Department probe into whether Walz's inaction constitutes being liable for this mess. It's serious—Walz has withdrawn from Minnesota's 2026 gubernatorial race.

These events and the revelation of this massive web of fraud that's stolen at least $9 billion from taxpayers weren't because ABC News was on the case, or any mainstream outlet; they wouldn't. This story makes Democrats look bad. If these liberal press outfits don't want to do the job, then the people will do it, and they have. This is a massive scalp for freedom. We took out commie Walz, who, among many things, set up snitch hotlines for those violating the insane COVID protocols, gave illegals driver's licenses, and later provided a backdoor for them to register to vote.

Walz had the protection of the liberal media for years. COVID and the misinformation spewed by Democrats and their expert friends forced millions to seek other ecosystems of information. The political class cannot control the flow of information anymore. Those days are over, as evident by Mr. Shirley's nuclear strike on Walz's political career. It was election-killing.

The Democrat-media complex is dying. Citizen journalism did the real work and got a scalp. We should celebrate. And if they're whining about Shirley not being a "real" journalist, you know we own them. He did their jobs, and they're mad about it. Do better, you idiots.

Also, going after Shirley is like attacking someone for having a parking ticket after cracking open a cold case.

Get a life, guys.
