Here is a recent headline from Breitbart: “Whoopi Goldberg: Trump ‘Planning on a Draft’ for Iran.” Well, if Whoopi said it, it must be true, right? Get ready to draw your number, young men and women!
Well, but is Trump “planning on a draft”? If he is, I’ve heard nothing about it, and, as far as I know, nobody else has, either. The Left is interpreting something White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said as meaning that Trump is considering a draft. On Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Leavitt was asked, “What do you want to say about the president’s plan for troops on the ground?” Leavitt’s response was, “[President Trump] wisely does not remove options off the table.” People magazine interpreted that as follows: “White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Donald Trump has not ruled out the idea of reopening a military draft.” I guess, since the President “wisely does not remove options from the table,” that also means he is considering dropping 100 nuclear bombs on Tehran. That’s an “option,” isn’t it? He could do that, couldn’t he? So, yes, I guess if you are a Leftist looking for any straw you can find to condemn the President, then Leavitt’s words could be interpreted as meaning that Trump is considering a draft.
The White House Rapid Response team immediately denied plans for a draft, writing on “X” that Leavitt “didn’t say anything close to this. You just made it up.” And no, she didn’t say anything close to Trump is “planning on a draft,” and yes, anybody who says so “just made it up.” But that’s what people with no conscience do.
Thus, it is not surprising at all that Whoopi Goldberg would repeat the Leftist mythology that Trump is “planning a draft.” Except for the totally disingenuous interpretation of Leavitt’s words, where else could Whoopi Goldberg get the information that President Trump is going to initiate a draft for the war in Iran? She certainly didn’t get it from anything he said, and nothing that he is currently doing or planning.
It’s quite obvious where Leftists got the idea: they indeed made it up. Bluntly, they lied, or, in Whoopi’s case, she is trying to deceive her listeners, which amounts to the same thing. Anybody who can tell a blatant lie like this in front of the 50 or so people left who are watching her has absolutely no conscience whatsoever. And it is increasingly obvious, and horribly frightening, that people who continually lie have no conscience whatsoever. And a person with no conscience will not only lie, but they will do anything they think is justified to bring about the utopia they envision. Like killing hundreds of millions of innocent people as Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Xi Jinping, and other conscienceless monsters have done over the past century.
People can lie so often that they can no longer distinguish truth from fiction. To them, whatever they say, or believe, or want to believe, is true. And that is what has happened to too many Democrats. They have no idea what the truth is anymore, or how to arrive at it. They cannot reason, they cannot think, they have no ability to deduce truth from evidence presented to them, to distinguish truth from error, to draw only such conclusions as are warranted by proof and evidence. In short, they believe what they want to believe, and that becomes “truth” to them.
That is what America’s godless, Leftist education system has done to countless Americans.
People with no conscience simply make things up, believe what they want to believe, and voila! It becomes the truth. “A lie told often enough becomes the truth.” So said Vladimir Lenin, and too many people believe that lie, too.
But again, the frightening thing is, they have erased their God-given consciences. A conscience, to be effective and worthwhile, needs to be trained by truth and righteousness, or it can be destroyed. People become, in the apostle Paul’s words, “past feeling.” I confess, I’ve told lies before in my life, and it bothered my conscience when I did. But I have no doubt that Whoopi Goldberg’s conscience doesn’t bother her one iota because she keeps doing it. She has “seared her conscience with a hot iron” (apostle Paul). Her hatred of Donald Trump, and all things true, righteous, and virtuous, overwhelms and subsumes any conscience she might have once had. It’s a sad tale of human degradation, but it is happening all over America, as it has happened innumerable times in history.
What’s it like to not have a conscience? I honestly don’t know, because I have one. But it’s increasingly clear that most Democrats don’t. Any woman who can murder her own baby or mutilate her own child obviously has a very serious problem with any conscience she might have left. Does her conscience actually bother her if she lets her baby live, or her child develop into the gender he/she was at birth?
People who allow men to steal honors and rewards that rightfully belong to women have no conscience. I couldn’t do that, I simply could not do that. My conscience wouldn’t let me give a medal to a man who claims to be a woman, who got that medal by beating up a woman or by outrunning or outswimming her, because men are naturally stronger and faster than women. A man who would steal a woman’s prize has no conscience. And neither does anyone who defends it.
And the tragedy is, countless millions (billions?) in the world today no longer know how to determine what truth is, and no longer care. They, like Whoopi Goldberg, can lie, motivated by hatred, and feel good about themselves for doing it. That is the condition too many people have gotten into today.
I wish I knew how to solve it, but I don’t.
