Let me try to put a little perspective on the current Leftist riots. These kinds of things have happened all through history and in just about every country. They've happened in America before, as we know. Riots aren’t happening in Thailand right now, where I live, but they have in the past, and I’m sure they will in the future. People get upset about something and they throw a fit, break things, sometimes start a revolution, but usually go home after they’ve had their fun. “Civilization is an occasional and temporary interruption of the jungle” (Will Durant).
I’m not trying to minimize what is happening in America now. It’s bad, and it shouldn’t occur, but it has, is, and will. It is interesting that the violent “protests” in America are always from the Left. The Tea Party protested about a decade ago, but there was never a shred of violence—at least that I recall. The ’60, ’90, 2020 George Floyd riots, and the current insurrections are all from the Left and always end up in destruction of property, looting, and usually loss of life. The Left has no respect for property or for life; they are immoral, amoral, and most of them are barely civilized, if not downright barbarians. That’s the result when people turn their back on God and moral virtue.
Of course, the Democrats to a person are blaming Donald Trump for the LA riots and taking absolutely no responsibility for their policy of letting millions of illegals into the country. “Personal responsibility” is a concept the Democratic Party has no conception of whatsoever. They—and the people they support—are always “victims,” not perpetrators. That doesn’t fool anybody but their own brainwashed robots. Decent, intelligent folks understand that actions have consequences, and that government policies have repercussions, too.
The sad, and frightening thing is, there is a huge segment of the American populace that has been convinced by the Democrats that America is evil and the cause of most of the world’s problems. And, thus, that the illegals should be allowed to stay. This isn’t a small percentage of Americans. Remember, 75 million people voted for Kamala Harris. Ten would have been too many, so we do have a serious problem in America. These Leftists, these people who vote for Democrats, believe they are right and most of them aren’t going to change. And again, their name is Legion.
Of course, in one sense, they are correct that Mr. Trump is at fault. If he would simply let all the illegals stay; if he would give them the free food, free health care, and free housing they want; if he would let them have jobs and thus depress wages for American citizens; if he would grant them the amnesty, citizenship, and right to vote that the Democrats demand he give them, then, well, yes, there might not be any rioting going on. And soon, there wouldn’t be any America, at least not one recognized from history, the one countless brave soldiers gave their lives to defend.
So, yes, Mr. Trump, give Gavin Newsom everything he wants and the rioting might stop for a while. Until the Left finds something else to be uncivilized about. And the rest of you can join me in Thailand.
But Mr. Trump will not cave, we believe, nor should he. And he knows exactly what the Democrats are trying to do. This isn’t about “picking our crops,” as Nancy Pelosi once said. This is about power, totally, 100% about power. And the Democrats don’t care how they get it. As I recently wrote, if the Left can’t get power legally through elections, they always try to gain power by violence or civil war. Check the history of the Soviet Union, Communist China, Vietnam, Korea, Cuba, et al, and it’s always the same story. Once the people find out what Leftism really is—the misery, poverty, slavery, and oppression it always brings—the intelligent ones reject it wholesale. The Democrats were defeated electorally—legally—in 2024. Who is surprised that they are inciting violence now, six months later?
I do not oppose legal immigration. Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, said that her city is a city of immigrants. And in one sense that is true because every single person in the United States, every single citizen, is the descendant of an immigrant. And that includes the native Indian peoples who migrated to North and South America from East Asia. Call them the “earliest” Americans.
So, no, American should not oppose LEGAL, regulated immigration. We’d be hypocrites if we did. And the Democrats don’t care one whit about these illegal immigrants—“refugees” from “oppressed” countries. It’s all about power to the Democrats. And never forget that. They can’t take power legally, so they’ll bring in hordes of illegals, give them citizenship, spread them around the country, and become a permanent majority. That is what this is all about, and that is ALL this is about.
But being a true America means defending American law and saying NO!, we will not allow this. Mr. Trump is doing the right thing, and so far, most Americans seem to be behind him. Waving Mexican flags is not an ideal method of gaining the approbations of most Americans. Let’s hope the rioters keep doing it.
But let’s also understand what this is—a power play by an ideology that has NEVER been able to gain power legally, once the people understand what it is, so they have to try to do it through violence, lies, and machinations. That is what the Democratic Party has become, and let’s hope more and more Americans begin to realize it.
But we’ll never stop the Leftist attempts to gain power. Never. Only constant, eternal vigilance will guard our freedoms. If the Left loses this time, they’ll be back. Violently. Count on it.
