When your enemy is down, that's a really good time to kick him in the head. And right now, the Iranian mullahs are down. Israel took out their air and cyber defense systems. We took out their nuke program. Their economy is collapsing thanks to President Trump's sanctions; there are no more pallets of cash coming with a nice note from Ben Rhodes. The Persian people are rising up. All our forces are finally in place. It's time to kick them in the head.
Let's take these bastards out of the picture for good – and hopefully, as you read this, that's what is happening. We can't let this opportunity slip away. If the ayatollahs wiggle out of this, they will be stronger, and we will be weaker, and we will regret it. If Donald Trump ends Jimmy Carter's 47-year forever war, he goes down in history as the one guy who could.
Yes, I know the objection to forever wars. I've had some personal involvement with American Middle East policy, so I'm not asking anybody to do anything I wasn't willing to do. Keep in mind that, but for Donald Trump's victory over ISIS and his neutering of the Venezuelan communists in about an hour, America has not unequivocally won a war since I was a 20-something platoon leader in Desert Storm. Trump is the guy who can bring the forever wars to an end.
There are two ways not to have forever wars. Option One is to never stand up for yourself. If you don't fight back when the people who want to literally murder all of you attack, you are not going to have a war. You are also not going to have a future, because, after they kill all your friends, they will get around to killing you, too.
The other way to finish a forever war is to win the damn thing. That's the Trump way – just ask Maduro. And Option Two is what we need to exercise in Iran now that we've got a giant fleet in Iran's neighborhood and all the chess pieces are on the board.

It's long past time to close this sorry chapter in American history. We've been screwing around with these seventh-century semi-humans for almost 50 years. They've killed thousands of Americans and maimed thousands more. They bombed the Beirut embassy, then the Beirut Marine barracks, then the Khobar Towers, then they kidnapped and murdered our people, then they sent thousands of deadly explosives into Iraq to kill American soldiers. They want nukes and ballistic missiles to kill even more. Upset because the Middle East is always aflame? Well, it's not because a few Jews live on a few square miles of desert off the Med that they turned into a paradise. It's because the mullahs are freaks with a crackpot apocalyptic jihadi creed who have been trying to subvert the whole Levant for the last half-century. If there's a problem in the Middle East, you can follow the money and the blood trails all the way back to Tehran.
Time to settle all family business. Time to take them out. Time for Donald Trump to take his place in history as the president who finally ended this nightmare.
There is a time for peace and a time to make peace happen. We need a lot less Mr. Rogers and a lot more Michael Corleone when it comes to our enemies. These people are our enemies, their hands stained with American blood, and it's about time we treat them that way. I don't want to hear about some coup 70 years ago where we took the side of one set of locals over some commies and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I don't care. Not at all. You don't ever get to make war on the United States and live, no matter what gripes and complaints you may have with us. The Iranian mullahs declared war on the United States. We need to finish that war. And that means finishing them.
Carter couldn't do it, nor Reagan, nor either Bush, nor Clinton. Obama actively helped them; Biden's puppet masters did, too, while President Eggplant was busy watching "Matlock" reruns. But Donald Trump can end this once and for all. And he must.
Their savage murders of tens of thousands of Iranians horrified the entire civilized world, except for the Hamas-hugging scumbags who cried about fake genocide in Gaza and suddenly developed laryngitis when the Jews stopped being involved. That repression is the opening to close this chapter. It's not our place to settle how the Iranians are going to run their own country, but it is our place to veto having people run their country who want to destroy ours. If we take this opportunity to finish off our enemies and the Persian people achieve freedom, that is glorious. And if they end up choosing a suboptimal government, but one that is not dedicated to subverting America and our allies around the globe, that's on them. A friendly Iran is in America's interest, and that means that America's interest is defeating the mullahs once and for all.
This is more than about that godforsaken patch of sand we call "the Middle East." When you defeat the mullahs, you help constrain China. We've taken Venezuela off the board with a lightning Delta Force strike – yah Army – and if we were to likewise take Iran off the board, where's China going to get its oil? From somebody with whom we have a direct line. When we control their fuel, that changes everything. We don't want to win the battle for Taiwan by fighting around that faraway island. We want to prevent there from ever being a battle for Taiwan by controlling Kharg Island and Iran's oil. If our hands are on the Iranian oil tap, they are on Beijing's throat.
Wait, am I saying this is partly a battle to control resources, like oil? Hell, yes! Do you know what humans have fought over for 5,000 years? In large part, controlling resources. How many millions of lives would be saved if we could keep China from choosing armed conflict simply by taking out a key ally with whom we already have a long-standing beef? A lot of lives, that's how many.
And it's a message to our other enemies, like Cuba. That's a 70-year Democrat-caused nightmare that Trump can end by demonstrating in Iran what's ahead for those communist bastards if they don't comply. Sorry, Marco – DJT will be adding "Havana proconsul" to your job description.
But again, it's important to remember that, beyond the strategic imperative, the mullahs have killed Americans. These savages have dared to put their paws on our citizens. That they haven't been obliterated until now is a shame upon our country. I am as America First as anybody, but if America First has been corrupted to mean an America that doesn't stand up for its own people when Third World dirtbags presume to harm them, count me the hell out. Being America First never meant being a pacifist. What it means is that we're not going to get into a problem with somebody who hasn't gotten into a problem with us, but if you do get into a problem with us, you'd better make sure your affairs are in order and that you've got a valid prescription for spectral Viagra because you're going to see those 72 virgins but quick.
The question should not be if we're going to take out the mullahs. The question should be how. Obviously, there are a lot of moving pieces, and not just American ones. We must figure out how we're going to work with Israel and other allies to achieve the strategic effect we want, which is the collapse of the Iranian government. And we need to be working with allies inside Iran to ensure that they can exploit the damage that we inflict. For many reasons, it's not strategically sound to put massive American military forces on the ground inside Iran proper – it might be useful to send in some special forces, as well as to grab some oil facilities here and there. There is going to have to be some ground fighting, and that's going to have to be the Iranian people doing it. We should be prepared to arm them so that they can kill their tormentors. Oh, and when it's all over, we should step back and let them hold whatever the Farsi word for "Nuremberg trials" is.
This is not to handwave away the difficulty of achieving regime change – yes, we should be seeking regime change. Those considerations are already being considered. Without getting too detailed, though I have absolutely no knowledge of the planning or operations that may be contemplated, America should target what remains of Iran's nuclear program, its ballistic missile program, its navy, its internal security forces, and the mullahs themselves. Nothing will tell the Iranian people "Here's your chance" like flattening a bunch of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps bases or slipping some bunker busters into a few regime command posts.
We've got to act now. Hopefully, by the time you're reading this, the offensive is already underway.
But what if we do nothing? The mullahs will be emboldened. They will double down. Donald Trump said he would act. He'd better act; if he does, he becomes a legend. If he doesn't, he becomes another Jimmy Carter. Now, I'm confident that he will. I am confident he's not going to be out-negotiated by these sociopaths and end up with a deal that would make the Obama bros wince. I expect his negotiations are designed to demonstrate that he tried to resolve this peacefully and, well, the mullahs chose a different path. But the end state, whether the mullahs have agreed to it or have had it thrust upon them, must be the end of this wicked regime and its hideous false ideology. Time for the bells to toll for the ayatollahs.
America First means America wins. And the way to end this forever war is for Donald Trump to finally win it.
