Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard sent chills down the spines of Americans across the country this week when she stepped up to the lectern in the Brady Briefing Room at the White House and revealed who ordered the “years-long coup” against President Donald Trump.
“There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Barack Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard said about how the Russia Hoax started, in a room packed with press and cameras. “The implications of this are far-reaching and have to do with the integrity of our democratic republic. It has to do with an outgoing President taking action to manufacture intelligence.”
"The expressed intent and what followed afterward can only be described as a years-long coup and a treasonous conspiracy against the American people, our Republic, and an attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration,” Gabbard continued.
And undermine they did.
Most egregiously, the January 2017 “intelligence report” used sourcing from the fake Steele Dossier, a political document funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign. This is the basis of the entire scandal.

After President Obama ordered his intelligence community to cook up a report claiming the Russians colluded with then-candidate Trump to win the 2016 election, an official intelligence report published in January 2017 said exactly that. Then, for years, those same officials, former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and others, cashed in on the hoax with book deals and TV contracts. In the media, they continued to perpetuate their lies, citing deliberately false intelligence during their time under Obama, which ultimately led to Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel investigation and the first impeachment against Trump. Democrat Congressman Adam Schiff abused his position as House Intelligence Committee Chairman, claiming evidence of Russian collusion was “hiding in plain sight.” So-called “journalists” won Pulitzer Prizes and were praised by the White House Correspondents' Association for regurgitating these lies into “investigative reporting” and stories.
The intelligence agencies of the United States government, directed by President Barack Obama, used a political document to undermine a legitimately elected U.S. President, Donald Trump – tearing the country apart and fueling distrust in U.S. institutions.
For decades, we have listened to Democrats and their allies in the leftist media scream about “protecting” and “defending” democracy. It turns out, they were the biggest underminers of the Republic and the elections that distinguish America from the rest of the world.
While Gabbard has referred new documents to the Department of Justice for criminal investigation, Americans who value justice and their Republic should remember which political party worked to launch a silent coup — an attempt to overthrow an election and kneecap the campaign promises of the duly elected president. Politics is a contact sport, but such an egregious betrayal can never be forgiven.
