In 2015, former President Barack Obama signed a deal with the murderous Iranian regime, putting America last and our allies in danger.

Instead of punishing the largest state sponsor of terror for the murder and kidnapping of thousands of Americans, starting in 1979 and continuing for decades through proxies like Hamas, Hezbollah, and others, Obama rewarded them. In return, the Iranian regime cheated its way through the “agreement,” secretly pursuing a nuclear weapon, while continuing its attacks on U.S. troops and innocent Americans. Flush with billions in cash and gold delivered by the Obama administration, Iran was emboldened, and their malign activity became more aggressive with a goal of further humiliating the United States.

In 2016, just six months after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was signed and two days after major sanctions were lifted on the regime, Iran took U.S. sailors captive, violated the Geneva Convention, and published forced “confessions” of wrongdoing on Iranian state television. They forced female sailors to cover their hair in captivity.

“Iranian media broadcast humiliating images of the US sailors during their detention, showing them kneeling on their boats at gunpoint with their hands on their heads,” The Guardian reported at the time.

The JCPOA didn’t prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon; it simply delayed it, and the terms did practically nothing to stop the regime's ballistic and intercontinental program.

"Tehran currently has the largest ballistic missile arsenal in the Middle East, and its so-called civilian space program, which could support the building of intercontinental-range military missiles capable of reaching the U.S, is very active,” The Heritage Foundation notes, although in recent days the Israeli Air Force has destroyed 50 percent of Iran’s ballistic missile stockpile through airstrikes and covert action.

Right on brand, President Donald Trump is stepping in with real leadership and courage that previous presidents, especially Obama, but also former President Joe Biden, lacked. Trump sees the world and America’s enemies for who they are, not who he wants them to be, and acts accordingly.

This is why President Donald Trump ripped up the Iran nuclear agreement, one that the regime cheated its way through during negotiations and after it was signed.

Now, ten years after Obama’s deal with the devils in Tehran, we’re on the brink.

“They are very close to having one [nuclear weapon…Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. It's very simple — you don't have to go too deep into it. They just can't have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said this week, consistent with his position for the past 20 years as a civilian and during his first term in the White House.

For those who argue, “We’ve been told Iran almost has a nuke for 30 years.” Yes, Iran has been pursuing a nuclear weapon for decades, and thanks to the brave work of the Israelis to set the program back year after year, they’ve been prevented from getting one. But like all half measures, eventually, setbacks aren’t enough, and today, the threat must be eliminated.

“We’re going to have a solution one way or the other. It’s either going to be violent or non-violent. And I far prefer non-violent,” Trump told Fox News in May.

Iranian missiles are raining down on Israeli civilians, targeting hospitals, schools, synagogues, churches, and mosques. A thousand miles away, the Israeli Air Force is paving the way for a final nail to be placed in Iran’s nuclear program. When the program is gone, either by force or through diplomacy, the world will be a safer place. Unlike the moves of the past by Obama and Biden, Trump's support of the Israeli operation and preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon is not only a real path to peace, it's America First.
