Well, that didn’t take long.
After losing to President Donald Trump in November, the Democrats in Washington, D.C., are having a full-blown meltdown as they attempt to “Resist!” his second term.
In the aftermath of the 2024 election, Democrats have been left stunned and rudderless. They are activists wandering in the wilderness with no map, compass, or safe place to go. And yet, most in the party haven’t changed one bit.
This week, Elon Musk and his army of DOGE engineers started to scratch the surface of the left’s widespread corruption scheme, and they’re breaking down the federal government infrastructure that has kept them in power for decades. Taxpayer-funded USAID is the first of many targets.
"Until Trump's funding freeze, USAID was actively paying for 'sex-change' procedures in Guatemala. USAID poured $2 million into Asociación Lambda, a Guatemalan LGBTQ+ activist organization, to 'strengthen trans-led' activism and provide 'gender-affirming health care,' grant records show. Launched in April 2024, the three-year program was slated to span through the spring of 2027," Townhall investigative reporter Mia Cathell found. "In March 2023, USAID set aside up to $1 million to help disabled people in Tajikistan become 'climate leaders.' The grant notice solicited proposals for a 'Disability-Inclusive Climate Action' project in the Central Asian country that would ensure that disabled Tajikistanis are included 'in the development of climate change response and mitigation policies.'"
This exposure has sent Democrats into a deranged spiral, with attempts to storm the USAID building. When they showed up, the doors were locked and their demands to be let in were ignored.
"A group of Senate and House Democrats were blocked from entering the headquarters of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) on Monday," The Hill reports. "The Democratic lawmakers, who are opposed to President Trump’s efforts to shut down the agency, left without incident after a brief exchange with security officials. The group, led by Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), were told the front office of the administrator of USAID was not available to meet."
Over at the Department of Education, which is set to be abolished by the Trump administration, a lone security guard stood his ground as Congresswoman Maxine Waters demanded to be let into the building in the name of resistance and saving the bloated bureaucracy.
It's delightful to watch.
The left is melting down because their corrupt abuse is being exposed and the American people can see all of it. For the first in decades, they’re being told, “No," as a complete sentence.
What we're seeing is a massive correction. For decades the federal government has been hijacked by leftist activists who launder the hard-earned tax dollars of Americans to fund their woke, anti-America projects. No more. And yes, Republicans are also guilty of enabling this thievery.
"Last Congress, I introduced an amendment to reduce funding for USAID by 50%. 114 Republicans and every House Democrat rejected this sensible measure," Freedom Caucus Member and Congressman Eli Crane posted on X. "Funny how many are singing a different tune following @elonmusk's deep dive into their corruption."
"We are going line by line to the Federal Government's books. If something is not a good use of taxpayer money, it will be cut," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized.
The plundering of the American taxpayer is over. The grift is coming to an end. It’s long past time.
