The troubling revelations from former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s Arctic Frost investigation continue to pile up, and the American people deserve answers. We recently learned that Smith abused his prosecutorial power to spy on at least eight sitting U.S. senators and hundreds of prominent conservatives and groups. He unconstitutionally subpoenaed the phone records of these senators, including some of the most vocal defenders of liberty and due process in Washington, in the Arctic Frost investigation he took over from the FBI.

We have just filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request demanding every record related to this surveillance campaign against the Legislative branch. What was collected? Who authorized it? And for what political purpose?
We’re not alone – those senators standing alongside the ACLJ include Lindsey Graham (SC), Ted Cruz (TX), Marsha Blackburn (TN), Cynthia Lummis (WY), Bill Hagerty (TN), and Tommy Tuberville (AL). They all have endorsed our FOIA demands and have asked us to share with them what we find. These duly elected representatives of the people are taking a stand and making it clear they will never be intimidated into silence.
We’re filing this FOIA on behalf of these six U.S. senators and our ACLJ members because the American people deserve the truth about the most politically corrupt spying operation in recent history. Those responsible for this unconstitutional attack on liberty must be held accountable.
