As a result of the Trump Administration's border policy, in less than 20 weeks, the flow of illegal aliens has slowed to a trickle. Concurrently, Leftists presume that whoever seeks to control immigration and maintain vital facets of our culture, starting with Donald Trump himself, is automatically xenophobic or racist. What a preposterous notion.
We own our culture, and we did not vote to dilute it by flooding the country with gate-crashers – the obvious intent of Joe Biden’s various handlers.
Orchestrated Cultural Destruction
Beyond our borders, Leftists also spew their open border garbage. Ten years ago, Europe sought to absorb one million new migrants added to a gargantuan number that had already arrived. Europe’s population did its best to accommodate the vast hordes. Many towns and hamlets were harshly affected. In Germany, one traditional village of 102 people had to contend with 750 asylum seekers, thus desecrating the local culture.
Who benefits from such cultural destruction? Who espouses that seeking to maintain one's culture is evil? Do Samoans not seek to maintain their culture? Or Malaysians, or Chileans, or Austrians, or Kenyans? Where on earth can you find a population – free of radical, self-loathing Leftists – who are willing to be diluted by millions of gate crashers? Who in their right mind would seek such an outcome?
In the 1960s and 1970s, Turkish immigrants were invited to Germany to serve as guest workers. They haven't assimilated and, in some aspects, have moved farther apart from the native host culture. Was this Germany's plan? Many Germans mistakenly assumed that these workers would eventually migrate back to Turkey.
In enormous enclaves throughout Europe, particularly Denmark, Sweden, England, and France, assimilation isn't occurring as planned. In some instances, immigrants make little or no effort to learn the host language or embrace the host culture's essential elements. Meanwhile, Leftist governments practically ensure that these newcomers don’t have to assimilate.
Drastic Alterations
In America, was it feasible to grow from 9.1 million Hispanics in 1970, to 35.3 million by 2000, to 61.0 million by 2020 (which includes multi-millions of illegals), and then add another 10 to 12 million, intentionally waved in by the treasonous Biden Administration? These massive numbers drastically alter society with no vote from actual citizens.
Did the citizens of Minneapolis choose to host a mini-culture of Somalis? Did Columbus, Seattle, or Washington, DC? Immigrants can add to the character and ambience of communities in manageable numbers. In vast numbers, they overwhelm the local culture, often leading to higher crime, cramped schools, and bursting budgets.
Sadly, the fake stream press under-reports or ignores the inevitable downside of unfettered immigration. Or, they completely create stories to suit their chosen narrative, reality be damned.
One Can't Predict Assimilation
Arthur C. Clarke, in his book Childhood's End, a science fiction book no less, postulated that all countries would one day be hosts to vast immigrant populations as global assimilation was inevitable. Sure, over the course of 50 to 150 years prevailing norms and structures can adapt. Assimilation within weeks or months, or a few years, rarely occurs.
Since 2015, Hispanics have outnumbered Caucasians in California, but income and education levels have not evened out. In general, amidst fully integrated high schools, Hispanics are not at the top academically, not in AP classes, and not going to top colleges on par with their Caucasian classmates.
One can postulate about socioeconomic status and such, but after 60 years, the results are mixed at best. While not flooded overnight, the once larger, prevailing culture in California has been irrevocably altered.
Off-the-mark Platitudes
What society lacks the right to protect key elements of its culture anywhere? What society should surrender to being flooded by those who will not assimilate or even respect prevailing laws and norms? The unfettered zeal with which Leftists blatantly applaud uncontrolled immigration is unwarranted.
Such immigration fanatics spew lame bromides about a "nation of immigrants" and "melting pots" while totally misunderstanding the ramifications of flooding society with immigrants who might never assimilate. This development is nothing short of cultural suicide, which, among those on the Left, apparently is desired.
Unrestrained immigration is social madness. As an American, if you have no voice in preserving your local culture and American culture in general, is there any point to being a citizen?
