Joe Biden has decided not to run again for (acting) president, so we should all rejoice! Concurrently, many Republicans in Congress are making the claim that if he's too frail or too inept to run for re-election, he's too inept to be the president. They say that he should also step down as president if he lacks the stamina, cognitive capabilities, and outright resolve to run against Donald Trump.
Let’s All Step Back for a Moment
Does this sound logical? In many respects, more stamina, energy, and resolve are needed to campaign for re-election than to be president. In DC, he has counselors and advisors nearby, as well as all the controls and buttons that go along with being the supposed commander-in-chief. While Biden is president, he's near the White House's first family residence. Hopefully, he can make his way upstairs and take naps as needed.
On the campaign trail, there are endless variables: unfolding situations, unpredictable twists and turns, and other challenges that don't tend to arise as a result of him staying hunkered down in the White House.
More importantly, if he were to be deposed via the 25th amendment, a backlash might ensue among those who have sympathy for the man: those who were otherwise going to vote Republican this time but now might lean back to the left. Even if it's just a tiny percent, who wants to take that chance?
Be Careful What You Wish For
If Biden was removed or resigned from office of his own accord, a series of developments might occur that none of us want. Imagine for a moment that Kamala Harris, as unqualified as she is, is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States and the first female ever.
Suddenly, her picture goes up in every single Post Office and Federal government building in America. Time magazine and all other left-leaning publications can't get enough of her. Like that, she’s on 25 to 50 magazine covers and exalted to the high heavens, much more so than if she simply remains as the Democrat candidate running for president.

On the campaign trail, she arrives in Air Force One. Are you beginning to cringe? Surrounding her are all the trappings of the presidency, and instantly, such trappings help to inflate her image. This new status puts her on a more even plane with Donald Trump. Not that he won’t cremate her in a debate, but again, why take unnecessary chances?
Take the Preferred Road
As a candidate, if you have the option, you do not want to run against Harris, the incumbent president, no matter how ill-equipped she happens to be. And, if she were president for a few months leading up to November 5 and made a serious blunder, which is likely, why put the nation at risk?
For all his mental fog, Biden is still a safer option for August, September, and October than Harris is on her best day.
Gerald Ford had three years of the presidency under his belt, plus a good record in Congress. He looked forward to his campaign against Jimmy Carter in 1976, but as we all know, he lost. Similarly, with a few months in the presidency, Kamala Harris is highly likely to lose. But why give her the historical edge of being the first female president? Why enable her to have the powers that go along with the office, regardless of how incompetent she is?
Popularity Matters
Donald Trump won in 2016 against Hillary Clinton by having more electoral votes. He lost the popular vote. When you lose the popular vote, you have less of a mandate, and people suspect that maybe some kind of manipulation took place.
Who is to say that Trump can win the popular vote against Harris when California, Illinois, and New York, with their huge populations, and other Blue States, automatically vote Democrat even if an orangutan is running?
So, please, lay off. Do not seek to impeach Harris for her continuous lies about Joe Biden's mental acuity. Let it pass for now. Wait ’til Donald Trump is elected, and then kick up your heels however you choose to.
We want Joe Biden in office, making as few stupid mistakes as possible, and then, after November 5th, it'll be the same as if Trump was inaugurated anyway, long before January 20th.
