The violence aimed at Tesla owners is symptomatic of a condition that did not exist when I was a boy. Thanks in large part to the Democrat Party, violence and rampant lawlessness have become acceptable.
In 2020, we watched cities and towns ravaged by marauding mobs of crazed leftists. Hundreds of businesses, the result of years of struggle and sacrifice, were utterly destroyed. Buildings were looted and burned. Statues were torn down. Innocent people—including police officers—were beaten and murdered. No one has been held to account. Instead, the Democrat Party and the media have characterized the violent riots as peaceful protests.
The supportive attitude toward public violence exhibited by Democrats has encouraged all forms of felonious activity. Criminally irresponsible Democrat mayors have encouraged looting, ordered the release of violent criminals, backed the downsizing of police departments, and abandoned the populace to the brutal mercy of hooligans and thugs. Even former presidential candidate Kamala Harris urged the continuation of violence.
One of the worst examples of lawlessness is New York City. The greatest city in America has been destroyed with the complicity of Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio. It will take ten years to restore it, which may not happen because people don’t want to live there anymore. Why would they? In a single week, 101 people were shot in the Big Apple.
Most living Americans have never experienced similar incidents of violence, said Tucker Carlson. “Now, they’re common all over the country. What happened?” What happened is that the Democrat Party has embraced violence as its modus operandi. All of the cities experiencing the recent rash of violence are run by Democrats. You don’t see Republicans engaged in organized violence. Uncivilized behavior is a monopoly of the Left. The Democrat Party has sent a message to its adherents that anything goes in the pursuit of political power.

No matter where you live, liberal mobs will see to it that you can’t express conservative ideas in public. If you decide to wear a MAGA hat, you place yourself at risk of assault. If you refuse to bow down to the demands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa, they will burn your house to the ground with you in it. My neighbor told me she was afraid to display an American flag in front of her house. This is not the same country I grew up in. The irony is that a majority of Americans voted for Donald Trump and his conservative platform.
We haven’t seen the worst of it. Democrats promised more violence if Trump was re-elected. We can take them at their word. Financial support from leftist billionaires will ensure that recruits are available for more looting, burning, and the destruction of Tesla automobiles.
The acceptance of lawlessness has encouraged political violence. Rogue district judges are attempting to sabotage President Trump’s agenda, even though their actions show contempt for the Constitution.
“The extreme left appears to have no intention of backing down,” wrote former OMB official J.T. Young in Investor’s Business Daily, “but expecting—if not demanding—the establishment’s embrace.” Left-leaning Democrats want to jettison the U.S. Constitution. “We should never forget,” said Sen. Rand Paul, “the Constitution wasn’t written to restrain citizen’s behavior. It was written to restrain the government’s behavior.” Advice that contradicts the aims of the Democrat Party.
We are at a dangerous moment in U.S. history in which political freedom is under attack. The American Left and its senior partners, the Democrat Party, and the mainstream media, want to replace our republic with a totalitarian socialist state run by unaccountable bureaucrats. For 12 years, Obama and Biden chipped away at law and order, responsible government, and critical American values.
Trump is attempting to reverse the damage, but his efforts are being stymied as the Obama-Biden assault on the rule of law leads to political violence.
