As I watched President Donald J. Trump eviscerate the United Nations and the feckless and cowardly leaders of Europe during his remarks before the United Nations General Assembly, two decades-long beliefs were validated. The first being that Trump is a once-in-a-century leader with spot-on instincts. The second being that the United Nations is not only an echo chamber for far-left socialists and anarchists seeking to weaken and undermine the United States of America, but often the epicenter. Most especially in the “Age of Trump.”
Like so many on the left in the United States, it appears that some of the staff at the United Nations not only also suffer from “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” but may have been looking to pull off a childish – yet potentially very dangerous – prank in protest of Trump. This one involves an escalator.
Prior to President Trump arriving at the UN, it was reported that certain staff members had “joked” that they might turn off the escalators and elevators for Trump’s visit. As if on cue, just seconds after President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump got on an escalator at the UN, it came to an abrupt and dangerous halt. Said the President after the potential stunt: "All I got from the United Nations was an escalator on the way up that stopped in the middle! If the First Lady wasn't in great shape, she would've FALLEN!"
Indeed. What if the First Lady or the President had been hurt by that “coincidental” malfunction?
Not surprisingly given the far-left, anti-United States, anti-Trump beliefs of many within the UN, the gremlins inside the building were seemingly not satisfied with just sabotaging the escalator President Trump and the First Lady were using. No. As soon as President Trump began his remarks his teleprompter stopped working. Then, his microphone.

Was it all really just a coincidence? Hopefully, an investigation will quickly find out. If not, it is critical to note that all of these “pranks” happened less than two weeks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk and amid thousands of Americans on the left either celebrating that obscene murder or rationalizing it.
Again, in a number of irrefutable ways, the United Nations has morphed from an organization dedicated to world peace into a cauldron of hate; encouraged anarchy; and anti-American activities. To that point – and from the pulpit of the UN General Assembly -- President Trump called out that once great entity by stressing in part: “…The UN is supposed to stop invasions, not create and finance them. The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders. Not only is the UN not solving the problems it should, too often it's actually creating new problems for us to solve…”
The President then added: “The best example is the number one political issue of our time, the crisis of uncontrolled migration. It's uncontrolled. Your countries are being ruined. The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders. In 2024, the U.N. budgeted $372 million in cash assistance to support an estimated 624,000 migrants journeying into the United States. Think of that. The U.N. is supporting people that are illegally coming into the United States…”
The President is correct. We all should pause to “think of that.” The United Nations deliberately funded an “invasion” of the United States of America. Of course, they did so when Joe Biden was still the pretend President in what many believe to be one more attempt to help the far left within the United States destroy the U.S. from within.
Today, not only is Biden out of office, but he is being thrown under the bus by his “do nothing” former Vice President who was crushed by Trump during the 20204 presidential election. A reality that many on the left will never accept. Including sadly, many at the United Nations.
All of which begs a not entirely “tongue-in-cheek” question: Has the time come for the Trump Organization to turn the United Nations building into the most luxurious and sought after residential tower in the world? Talk about “location, location, location.” Where the UN sits is quite possibly the most valuable land parcel on the planet.
What most Americans don’t realize is that the United States is – by far – the largest funder of the United Nations. To the tune of some $13 billion per year. All to have that body denigrate our nation; our president; our values; and our way of life.
Gee. A two-bedroom condo corner unit in the gleaming new TRUMP United Nations Tower sounds better and better with each insult of our country.
