I live in Maryland, and as a conservative, I know I am way outnumbered on almost all issues. Working in DC, there isn’t really a haven for sane people, so you just have to do your best to find a pocket of reality that gets you as close as possible. Yes, it can be like trying to find a less-wet part of the ocean sometimes, but life is full of compromises.
Protecting those pockets as best you can becomes imperative when you find one. In my case, the migration of liberals from Montgomery County north to a more sane part of the state makes that a constant battle. The Locust Left ruined the place where they used to live by driving up the cost of living and taxing the hell out of everything, so they have started to move out. They’ve “welcomed” droves of illegal aliens, damaging the schools and driving up rents, along with crime. The Locust then moves out, but votes the same.
It takes real brain damage to miss the fact that the common denominator in the reasons you’re fleeing is you, but we are dealing with Democrats.
With this invasion of sane spaces comes the AWFULs who want to bring “progressive change” to the place they just fled to. These idiots don’t get that the reasons they had to leave where they were are their stupid politics, so they set about ruining their new home – locust eat everything green, then move on to the next spot to ruin, just like Democrats.
In local elections, it can be difficult to tell who the crazy people are, as many local elections in rural areas are non-partisan. Without the party ID, “progressive” Locust Leftists are very good at sounding conservative. You can look at fliers and handbills and have no idea what a candidate wants to do, beyond “good things” and “protect” things. They’re evil, not stupid, when it comes to getting into power.
But I’ve found a way to tell who is crazy and who isn’t. I highly recommend you try it.
You know the crazies in your neighborhood or town, the leftists with their house covered in every flag but the American one and a lawn full of virtue signaling signs about whatever the cause du jour these people are clutching their pearls over.
These people have a compulsion for Left-Wing radicalism. Look at their lawns, see the signs for city and county government and support the hell out of the opponents of those people.
These are the people who join every mutant march and anti-American rally that George Soros surrogates organize. Whatever they are for is bad and any candidate they support needs to lose. Opposing whatever and whoever these unshowered pink-haired abortion factories and trans kid recruiters are in favor of is one of the most important things any American can do.
If there is a “Support veterans, not billionaires” sign, know that it is the group “Indivisible.” They are funded by billionaire rotting 90 percent corpse George Soros. The idiots displaying the sign probably don’t know that, and those who do likely don’t care. The “Nation of Immigrants since 1776” signs are another giveaway, as I and pretty much everyone I know was born here, and we are definitely “more American” than some illegal alien, gang banger or not, who just marched across the border because their country’s economy sucks.
Whatever these people support needs to be defeated, and any candidate with a sign mixed in between the “Hate has no home here” and “Love is love” signs can be guaranteed to be bad.
Save all the researching candidates' time and drive past the house where you won’t let your kids trick or treat and take a look at their lawn signs, then act accordingly. These people show you who they are; you should believe them. And the crazy, gross and dangerous leftists tend to march in groups, which makes identifying, avoiding and defeating them – even in deep blue states – easier.
The hive mind is a terrifying thing, but it also helps in spotting them from a mile away. These people tell you who they are, they show you who their candidates are, believe them in every case and defeat them at every turn.
