There are few things more enjoyable than watching a couple of Democrats talking to each other about how they’re either “winning” or soon will be and how to make it happen. It’s like watching a baby giraffe try to stand up for the first time…on ice…in a tornado – they have no idea what they’re doing or how to get it done. But they’re going to try, bless their hearts, they’re going to try.
Democrats aren’t really trying when it comes to winning (or losing) elections because they either A) can’t bring themselves to admit when they’ve lost (I’m old enough to remember when denying election results was a “threat to democracy!”) or B) believe they simply have to learn how to sell their poison positions better, like there is a secret combination of words out there that will make the 80 percent of the country based in reality think that it’s not only OK for men to compete against women in sports, but it’s healthy to sterilize pre-teens and mutilate their genitals in the name of “tolerance.”
Did I mention how lost Democrats are?
The most amusing part of flipping to MSNBC for as long as your stomach can hold down the last meal you ate is to see just how far away from “getting it” they still are. While it’s not just the things listed above, and the many other things just like it, it is the attitude. Listening to a Democrat talk about even talking to Republicans or just simply Americans who aren’t associated with either party but do not obediently follow whatever Democrats tell them to do, is like watching that baby giraffe try to do calculus.
They, these leftists, view everyone who is not them with contempt. You don’t need me to tell you that, watch any Rachel Maddow monologue and you will feel what is beyond hatred for those who do not obey. But talking to their fellow Americans is treated like a trip to the zoo or some wild excursion into a parallel universe that is worthy of a medal and a statue (one that their side won’t try to tear down, at least for now).

A Texas state legislator named James Talarico was recently on MSNBC – I don’t have to mention his party affiliation, as I’ve already said he was on MSNBC (which is a big part of their problem) – to whine about redistricting and gerrymandering. I live in Maryland, where Democrats expressly admitting under oath to doing that to Republicans, reducing the number from GOP House members from 3 to 1. But Democrats don’t care about that, it aids them, it’s only when Republicans return the favor that they get their panties in a wad.
MSNBC personality Katy Tur, seemingly angry over someone years ago dropping the “d” from the end of her last name and determined to earn it back, asked, “How do you break through those algorithms? How do you break through to somebody who's only watching one perspective and believes that the Democrats are trying to destroy the country?” Katy either lacks the self-awareness of a house plant or doesn’t watch MSNBC (who could blame her?).
To that, Talarico responded, “Well, it's going to require Democrats getting outside of our comfort zone. It's why I went on Joe Rogan's podcast. It's why I've been on Fox News. It's why I've been on the Christian Broadcasting Network. These are not necessarily friendly places for a Democrat, but it's necessary if people are going to hear directly from us about our values and our vision. Politics is about addition, not subtraction. It's easy to stay in your bubble, but we have to break out of those bubbles if we're going to build a big coalition and take power back for the people.”
He went on Fox and CBN and survived? Rogan isn’t exactly a conservative, he’s just not a wuss. The odd of him diving across the desk and beating anyone to death with a microphone are pretty low (like maybe 15 percent), so it’s not exactly like serving in a war. But these are scary things to Democrats – the idea of being asked questions on issues you don’t really want to talk about or be challenged on should not be a point of pride, it should be a source of embarrassment.
This is what happens when a political party locks itself in a box and tries to block out the world. Talarico gave the game away when he said “we desperately need to remake this broken political system in our own image.” That’s many things, none of which are “what democracy looks like.”
Democrats are dangerous and hold anyone who is not them in total contempt. Return the favor, while you still can.
