Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz embodies a legion of policy failures. From embracing crime and open borders to inflation-inducing binge spending, this newly-minted Democratic vice presidential nominee would harm American families if he enters the White House.

For example, Walz fully supports "sanctuary cities" and "sanctuary states,” meaning Walz shields criminal illegal immigrants from accountability. Walz refuses to call Kamala's unprecedented illegal border crossings—hotbeds of destructive human trafficking and sexual violence against women—a "crisis."

Though he swore to uphold them, Walz makes a mockery of our laws, saying he wants to give ladders to illegal immigrants to scale our taxpayer-funded border wall.

At a time when U.S. families are struggling with their own medical and education bills, Walz signed legislation giving illegal foreigners free, taxpayer-funded health care and college.

Walz also backs mass amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants, and signed legislation allowing illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses and title vehicles.

The Biden-Harris White House utterly failed on immigration, manifested by the highest number of people since 2001 telling Gallup that illegal immigration is “a critical threat to the U.S.” and calling for stronger immigration controls.

It’s no wonder that under Walz, Minnesota is experiencing net out migration, people driven away by Walz’s draconian COVID-era policies. Walz defiantly praised his forced school lockdowns and masking, despite evidence showing their ineffectiveness.

Walz even set up a Soviet-style phone line for neighbors to retaliate against supposed violations of his tyrannical COVID orders. Walz discharged COVID-positive patients to nursing home facilities, which were decimated with the highest death rate in the nation.

Economically, Walz never met a business he didn’t want to undermine and tax in the name of his rigid, command-and-control stranglehold on free markets. It’s no wonder small businesses suffer in the North Star State.

Walz took billions of dollars away from productive activity in new taxes—though he wanted to spike them even higher. Walz backs a completely impractical ban on gas-powered vehicles and even signed legislation to coerce Minnesotans to ban all carbon-producing energy by 2040. This would force crippling dependence on unreliable wind and solar energy—which could cost the state $340 billion and lead to rolling blackouts. Just ask California, where many of these same ideas are also spiking energy costs and driving people out of the state.

While in Congress, Walz voted for failed cap-and-trade, which scholars say would have killed 2.5 million jobs and raised electricity rates by 90%.

Under Walz, manufacturers shuttered factories and foundries due to the high electricity costs—killing American jobs. Walz opposes fracking, which should play poorly in battleground states like Pennsylvania.

Walz comes across as part of a creepy, Big Brother Manny State when he claims "one person's socialism is another person's neighborliness." It’s bizarre Walz thinks taking money from other people in order to squander it through government waste, fraud, and abuse is playing Mr. Rogers. Meanwhile, under Walz’s watch, taxpayers suffered under a massive, wide-reaching welfare fraud that bilked Minnesotans for hundreds of millions of dollars.

Walz also misrepresented his own National Guard service by claiming he faced dangers he never did—a move many veterans call “stealing valor.” Continuing his deception, Walz gaslighted Americans concerned about President Biden's obvious cognitive decline, dismissing it as “ageism.”

Walz shows utter disregard for public safety. Walz feebly stood by as leftist rioters burned Minneapolis to the ground (rioters Vice President Kamala Harris later bailed out), directed police to surrender their precinct, stalled deploying the National Guard for days, then excused violent, crime-rampant riots as "a society that does not put equity and inclusion at the center."

Walz endorsed defunding the police in the aftermath of the 2020 riots, resulting in a massive, 22% increase in violent crime by 2022.

Walz allowed criminals to walk free—including a woman who drowned her own baby. Walz endorses voting rights for violent criminal felons and claims that voter ID and voter integrity laws are solutions "looking for a problem." Ironically, Walz and Harris required IDs to enter their political rally despite Harris previously calling voter ID laws “racist.”

What’s telling is that America’s right track/wrong track number is a strong predictor of whether the incumbent candidate/party fails. Today, only 23% of Americans say we are headed on “the right track” while 73% say we’re on the wrong track, according to new survey data from Hart Research.

This is the lowest confidence recording since the 2008 financial crisis, a poor omen for the White House’s incumbent ideology. Rather than helping Harris by providing a moderating influence, Walz would pull her further left. This bodes poorly for America’s future.
