Legalized Press-titution – THE NEW YORK TIMES
Like the serial killer neighbor who was polite and kept to himself.
They are at it again over at Terrorist Tiger Beat, also known as The New York Times. In coverage of the synagogue attacker in Michigan, there were a few ways the paper could have covered things. His targeting of a Jewish facility, his origins in Lebanon, or the small matter of his family connections who were members of Hezbollah.
Instead, The Times went another route.

The only way this holds up is if Jake does not know a single person he works with at his network.
It has been rather maddening to watch our press industry doing almost all it can to undermine and challenge what we are doing as a nation overseas. From claiming we are inept in war theaters to praising Iran’s resolve, it has been a persistent serving of anti-American narratives from the press.
But here comes Jake Tapper, insisting that the exact opposite is the case, and we cannot let him finish his thought without interrupting him with laughter.
TAPPER: “Every reporter that I know wants the United States to succeed in every way, and the way that reporters help that happen is by asking questions of people in power and not blindly cheering on leaders who take the nation to war.” pic.twitter.com/KtfZYSnBJU

Legalized Press-titution – CBS NEWS / 60 MINUTES
It is clear Tapper does not know any journos at this program, as well.
Last year there was a daft news item where a “policy expert” was reportedly slamming President Trump’s immigration positions. That this “expert” was a former Biden border official made the critique entirely forgotten.
Now we have 60 Minutes committing a similar dose of oblivious hilarity. They brought on Mara Karlin to slam the Operation Epic Fury effort and to claim that our military and the administration did not plan properly for this conflict.
If you do not know her by name, this woman leveling harsh critiques about conflict planning was the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Plans, and Capabilities under Defense Secretary Austin and President Biden.
Holding to our longstanding theory that the longer someone’s title is the shorter their actual expertise, Karlin was part of the leadership overseeing the fiasco that was the Afghanistan withdrawal. So you will forgive us for not listening to Word-1 from this source.
“They went into this war prepared for certain threats, like missiles. They did not go into this war prepared for other threats like drones hitting soft targets,” says Mara Karlin, a former Pentagon official. https://t.co/wG390I3COm pic.twitter.com/OhRyyvEgvX

DNC PR Firm – GOTHAMIST
Good thing, because we were worried about how the attackers might be holding up.
Consider briefly that we have seen no fewer than four domestic terror incidents in this country over the past couple of weeks, and that those have involved folks who derived from a, shall we say, similar faction. Apparently, at the Gothamist, the compiler of WNYC newsroom content, they went the Norm McDonald route and expressed concern how Muslims might be treated after Muslims committed those acts of terror.
Well, calm your hearts, folks, as they are here to inform us that Mayor Zohran Mamdani is striving to bring peace to the community.
That would be, the community from which the violence has been generated. We need to be sure they are feeling good about themselves.

Anti-Social Media – BLUESKY
We guess they get half a point on following their own advice.
The gang at Bluesky — you know, the social app that was going to supplant Xitter — put out a promotional post that was deeply curious. It stated that the platform was somewhat designed so you do NOT spend too much time using it. This is a unique sales tactic, to be sure, but there was more.
While it does seem they turn off their own app, they put out this promotion on its main competitor’s platform in the process.
Oh…kay, we guess…?
Some platforms optimize for getting you to waste hours scrolling. We're actually fine with it if you close Bluesky and live your life

Gilded Reframe – CNN
Just to be clear, she is no longer hateful and a threat to our democracy?!
For years, CNN has taken on a rather aggressive position against Marjorie Taylor Greene. Yet, after her psychotic break last year that saw her divest entirely from her “MAGA slay queen” role and leave D.C. entirely, she is suddenly a darling at the network.
Her frequent appearances on the air appear to be a trial run for her to be signed on as a regular contributor any day now.
