Ummm…you are blaming him for someone else’s failure…?
The impending peace deal between Israel and Hamas is a monumental achievement, with the promise of the hostages being returned in a matter of days. And predictably, the media of this country are in a tough position of having to credit President Trump with brokering this deal.
You may not be able to find an impression that typifies this struggle in the press better than Chris Hayes. Behold the majesty of this hot-take: Trump is faulted for…not completing a peace deal that Joe Biden had in place?!
Here's how MSNBC's other Rachel Maddow covered Trump securing a peace deal in the Middle East.

Chris Hayes: Biden had a peace deal in place that Trump never followed through with. Is Trump only doing this to win the Nobel Peace Prize? pic.twitter.com/VIweBi3ZaC
We are trying to wrap our heads around this. Biden had this war in his lap for 15 months, and in half of the time, Trump scrapped that plan and installed a new proposal, and he only did this to get a Nobel Peace Prize?!

Just magnificent wishcasting.
Gilded Reframe – ABC NEWS
Hey, Yo – over here!! Lookit this instead!
On the prospect that President Trump might be considered for the Nobel, this presents another tough news item for the press to swallow. In an attempt at deflection, ABC News saw fit to arrive with the notification that the anniversary of Barack Obama winning the Prize had arrived.
Of course, this also brought up the fact that Obama had been nominated for said prize before he had been in office a full month, essentially awarded for simply being elected.
ON THIS DAY: In 2009, President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize for what the Norwegian Nobel Committee called “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” https://t.co/Qhee1yww52 pic.twitter.com/1U78J1mPnL

Taking a firm stand on an issue you have zero influence in changing.
There is upheaval being witnessed at the Pentagon, where Pete Hegseth has installed tougher regulations on the press in a bid to get a handle on leaks taking place. Tougher credentialing standards, limits on access in the building, and other changes have angered correspondents and outlets.
Sources like CNN have said they will not be signing on to the new agreements and are posturing as if they are in a position to leverage anyone. The reaction from the Pentagon can be summarized thusly: “Oh well, these are the new rules; deal with it, or be cut off.”
Then, while complaining about the ethics of being limited from anonymous sources and learning about ongoing activity, WaPo details that nameless journalists will not divulge their plans going forward, in the exact same fashion. Unreal.
The Pentagon gets a grip on illegal leaks of classified intel. The press reacts as if they have had half of the letters on their keyboards banned from being used.

You people with asthma, you are killing the planet!
A message to news outlets: Just because some study draped in university gravitas gets released does not mean you have to regurgitate the content. Apparently, a new environmental finding has been released, and the press cannot help themselves in bleating about what was said.
A UCLA study claims that inhalers are exacerbating the global-climate-emergency-change-warming-crisis. How, you might ask? Because they use CO2 to propel life-saving mists, and the tens of millions dispensed annually are a problem.
Just wait when these eggheads find out what is contained in carbonated soft drinks!

Maybe he should have gone with a cowl.
Jesse Watters interviewed an individual inside Antifa. As revealing as this could have been, several people are noticing a similarity to a previous interview Watters had in 2023 with a member of the Mexican cartel.
This, of course, leads to the question – why would a cartel member rush to Fox News to reveal inside secrets?
There are questions regarding Jesse Waters having an inside source with Antifa, and the Mexican cartels.
