Pathological Media Amnesia – THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
- You folks know that there are archives available to see your past coverage, right?
As the news comes out that former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted, the press is reacting as if former President Joe Biden did not oversee four indictments of Donald Trump during his term. Among those trying to gaslight the public is The Wall Street Journal, declaring that this effort was somehow “unprecedented.”
Yes, they literally said this. Let’s harken back to a time when just one of Donald Trump’s indictments went through, and the media were collectively swooning that they had a chance to post a mugshot of Donald Trump.
This would include, yes, The Wall Street Journal.

I seem to recall how every news outlet was slobbering when they got to post Donald Trump's mugshot on the air on the front pages, including your own.

Legalized Press-titution – MSNBC
Seriously, why is there this adoration for such a distaff character?!
At the dispatched news network, the affection for James Comey knows no limit, as we detailed just some of the fawning defense of the man yesterday. The mystery is why anyone feels that a man who has not been part of federal law enforcement for eight years is an adored figure.
But this morning, there was Joe Scarborough white knighting for Comey. He was brazen enough to declare that — just weeks after Charlie Kirk’s assassination — that Mr. Comey is the one who is, in fact, a “martyr.”
Scarborough is losing it over Comey indictment: Says Trump is making Comey a “martyr for the rule of law."

Sorry, Kimmel. Your reign as propaganda press martyr of the month has come to an end. pic.twitter.com/E3OTdvvpa0
Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC
History did not begin this January, Ken.
Ken Dilanian has been especially active this week with all the intelligence activity afoot. This has not led to Ken delivering decent reporting, however. His attempt at rewriting history continues, as he looks at the Comey indictment with disappointing eyes – specifically, Donald Trump’s gleeful words on the matter.
Ken tries to tell us that this is something Joe Biden would never have even conceived of doing. Only one problem exists for Ken’s insistence: the evidence.

News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS
It is the same agency, but they are rather quiet when firm evidence emerges.
Congressional Republicans are going to spearhead another January 6 commission, and we are seeing there is just cause to reopen an investigation into that fateful day. The FBI has come out with a confirmed report that there were, in fact, hundreds of FBI personnel in the crowd that day. This has been a long-suspected reality, but not one the media have been all that eager to explore.
In fact, it was this past December when a neutered investigation took place and claimed there was no proof of FBI involvement. Yet, while that impotent report was enthusiastically covered nine months ago, this new revelation is not managing to generate nearly the same amount of coverage today.
And they wonder why the legacy media is dying. pic.twitter.com/hFA5hYEiFu

Both Kinds of Standards – LATE NIGHT NETWORKS
The First Amendment was not a concern back then?
Hopefully, we will be entering a period when the Jimmy Kimmel flap is finally dying off. The media outlets clutching pearls and wailing over censorship and free expression have been tough to absorb when it comes to an unfunny talk show host supposedly silenced for challenging the president.
What undercuts this entire messaging is the past examples of figures who saw their own cancellation over comments made and no such melodrama ensued.
Making it even worse is when the bevy of late-night hosts were out there actually cheering when Donald Trump faced his own expulsion from a wide array of social media platforms, there was Kimmel, and the others, chortling over Trump being digitally silenced, and not a single defense of his rights was to be heard.
Remember when late-night hosts were celebrating Silicon Valley censoring Trump? pic.twitter.com/elcbiThD0U
