Both Kinds of Standards – CBS NEWS

  • When an actual dictator is not considered a dictator.

Recall when President Trump wanted to commemorate the anniversary of the Army with a parade in Washington, D.C.? It was called a celebration of himself, a show of totalitarian force, and sparked several ridiculous “No Kings” protests.

With that as the baseline, it would be fair to assume that an ACTUAL totalitarian dictator staging a military parade - with other authoritarians in attendance - would generate more criticism and condemnation. Instead, at CBS News, they were raving about Xi Jinping and his show of military might.

  • Overseeing his troops under a blazing sun, China’s President Xi Jinping was looking to project the image of a man fulfilling his destiny. "Greetings, comrades. You are working hard”, he tells them. Hosting China's largest-ever military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Xi was front and center. Flanked by his powerful allies and neighbors, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. What we are witnessing here in Beijing is the global order changing before our very eyes. China, Russia, and North Korea showing solidarity against the West, directly challenging the U.S.-led world order.

Hoax and Change – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • There is so much genocidal oppression by Israel that the evidence has to be made up.

One of the bigger stories out of the Gaza region this week had been that Israeli forces had murdered a young Palestinian boy. His image was splashed obsessively as he was martyred for the cause.

Unfortunately for Hamas propagandists and the mainstream media sycophants, the young boy has been thankfully discovered to be alive and well.

Just like the imagery shared copiously of “starving” infants in the region, these reports of violence against the citizenry suffer from a lack of tangible evidence.

Legalized Press-titution – NBC NEWS

  • Brave enough to go after Trump, just not brave enough to give their names.

One of the touchstones of the Trump 2.0 presidency has been the flood of activist circuit court judges overstepping their authority and impeding the operations of the executive branch of government. It has become so pervasive that the Supreme Court had to weigh in and rope in these judges.

Now, NBC News has taken on a sympathetic position and granted 10 of these judges the platform to bark and moan about SCOTUS telling them to back down. Of course, these courageous voices do so anonymously, assuming this was to prevent people from identifying their rulings and pointing out how justified SCOTUS had been.

  • Call us confused, but is this not considered an attack on a journalist?!?!

The career track of Bari Weiss has been fascinating to behold. She was run out of the New York Times by millennial staffers for not being sufficiently leftist, so she started her own independent journalism portal and attracted several named journalists. Now comes word that she sees her site, “The Free Press,” being bought out by Paramount Global, and she will be given editorial oversight at CBS News.

What is so revealing is how many journalists are squealing over this development, attacking Weiss as some sort of right-wing devotee. This has many at CBS News unnerved and upset, which itself should be regarded as a positive sign. (Weiss should make rehiring Catherine Herrige as one of her first moves.)

Gilded Reframe – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Performing a 180 on a policy position based on who is enforcing it.

Think back to what has long been one of the biggest criticisms levelled at President Trump regarding immigration and deportations: Family Separation.

Well, the latest is that the media are cheering a judge's ruling that blocked flights to Central America that had children on board. Activist groups sued to have these flights halted, claiming these were children being deported. What was actually in play was a reunification of children with parents who have been repatriated.

  • Justice Department lawyer Drew Ensign told the court, "These are not removals under the statute. These are repatriations. All of these children have parents or guardians in Guatemala who have requested their return."

So you actually are looking at left-leaning activists pushing to have families separated.

DNC PR Firm – HUFFINGTON POST

  • We're still running with this imagery, right?

For reasons that make sense only to them, Leftist women rage against the concept of being forced into oppressive red robes and white bonnets, as displayed in the TV show “The Handmaid’s Tale”, and they protest against this…by, ummm…actually wearing the outfits they “refuse” to be forced to wear?!

The effort is to supposedly display what they claim is the intention and desire of conservative men, which is to subjugate women and have women forced into these outfits. (Frankly, myself and most males on the Right prefer comely women in stars & stripes bikinis, but don’t let reality impact their activism.)

At the Huffington Post, their Washington correspondent Jennifer Bendery saw a pair of these misguided Misses standing near some of the troops stationed in Union Station, and she felt this was a gripping visage of Donald Trump’s America, or something.
