DNC PR Firm – CBS NEWS
Seems they frequently do that thing they claim to never have done.
There has been quite a bit of fallout from the settlement with Donald Trump by CBS News, regarding the editing of the Kamala Harris “60 Minutes” interview. The speculation was that this was to facilitate the approval of a merger, to Trump wanting to control the discourse, to the dumbest being, Stephan Colbert was punished over this. But now a new revelation comes out that suggests the network feared being exposed as routinely supporting the Democrats, as Trump’s suit alleged.
In a New York Times interview the former leader of the network, Shari Redstone, let slip that the news program may have performed a similar cleanup editing of Joe Biden’s interview with the show. Redstone hinted this could have derailed their defense in the Trump case, so a settlement made more sense.
The Redstones also worried that Mr. Trump’s lawyers could cherry-pick raw footage and internal communications and do more damage to CBS News’s reputation than any settlement would. Ms. Redstone said CBS personnel had told her that in October 2023, when Scott Pelley of “60 Minutes” interviewed President Joseph R. Biden Jr., the president had seemed drowsy and had to be prodded to answer. She and Tyler worried that CBS might be accused of editing the interview to conceal Mr. Biden’s failings.
She also speculated that after witnessing the editorial standards sliding, possibly Trump’s lawsuit could provoke the needed change, as she saw it.

Shari Redstone feels bad that people at CBS News are mad at her for settling a baseless suit with Donald Trump, according to a sympathetic piece in the Times.

Could you wipe some of the slobber off while writing this?!
Gavin Newsom has been in hyperdrive on social media, attempting to make himself relevant in his bid for a 2028 presidential campaign. His social media wonks - a pair of 20-something activists - have been celebrated, even as the account has been delivering the cringe content for weeks now.
Politico shows up and raves over the account, replicating President Trump’s Truth Social rantings, and heralding Newsom as a can’t-miss candidate. (Small matter his approval is severely underwater - his account is straight up fire, yo!)

You say it has not been working? Well then, what is needed is MORE radicalism!
It has been equal parts mystifying and amusing to see the Democrats continuously take the opposing position on any 80/20 issue, and then wonder why it is their approval numbers are heading for the sceptic tank. At MSNBC they looked over this quandary, and the perpetually indolent pundit Molly Jong-Fast had the solution: they need to embrace more candidates who are wildly out of touch with Americans!

If you ever needed an example of “wishcasting,” behold this example.
CNN’s Abby Philip was on a video interview with Kara Swisher and came to a daft conclusion of the meeting with NATO figures on Monday at the White House. According to Abby, these leaders rushed to the White House out of concern that Trump would provoke another 9/11, or some other hyperbolic explanation.
Of course, this is completely 180 degrees out of line with what those leaders said Monday evening, as they raved about Trump’s efforts and said they had never seen the Ukraine conflict come any closer to a resolution in over three years.

Ummm…you all might want to turn off the spell-check for your on-screen graphics program.
As pre-season FL games are underway, the teams are trying out new talent to see if they can qualify for the roster. The same might be taking place in the newsrooms in Atlanta.
As the Falcons are bringing out their #1 draft pick, Michael Penix, to get his game time in and speak with the press, the local station had a bit of an issue getting his surname correct as he took questions.
