BlueAnon – ABC NEWS

  • We are unclear what he had to do with this discussion, Martha.

It is always a sad site on social media when some troll accuses others of being obsessed with President Trump, when they were the one to dredge up his name in an unrelated comment. It becomes pathetic when this takes place in the outmoded media.

The usually anti-religious press contingent has been remarkably shifting to theistic “experts” this past week, due to the newest Pope chosen being an American. This has, of course, led to all manner of speculation about Pope Leo XIV contesting and combating President Trump, especially on immigration – as the concept of separating church and state is tossed over the transom. Martha Raddatz becomes the latest, bringing up Trump’s name in a discussion on Pope Leo with Cardinal Cupic. The lobbying of the church is rather distasteful.

Stolen Validity – ABC NEWS

  • There is a “frequent liar miles” comment to be made — BUT WE WON’T MAKE IT!

Sunday’s news cycle exploded with the breaking news from ABC’s Jonathan Karl that the government of Qatar is “gifting” President Trump a new luxury airliner to use as his new Air Force One. That all of these news outlets acted like mynah birds on the report without introspection was no surprise, as they all followed up with their own levels of outrage. And, of course, it was soon revealed there was more to this story – starting with Mr. Karl not breaking anything new.

It had been more than a week earlier when The Wall Street Journal had the report, and the details were what the press wanted to avoid. For starters, this all stems from Boeing failing in its commissioned work to deliver a new Air Force One for the White House. This was something commissioned during President Trump’s first term, and was due to be delivered a year ago. Boeing has failed significantly in this job, years of delays and billions of dollars in cost overruns.

The next detail is this was a plane once owned by the Qatari government, and had been in possession of a defense contractor, who will be in the process of now retrofitting the decommissioned airliner. So this was certainly old news. But there was Karl saying this was an “exclusive,” the storyline of Qatar giving Trump a brand new Air Force One was the preferred, and false, narrative for the press.

Pathological Media Amnesia – THE ATLANTIC

  • “Everybody is so different, I haven’t changed…”

It has been a comical farce to see members of the press today making suggestions that Senator John Fetterman might be unfit for office. Given his stern support for Israel, running counter to most news narratives, it has been a case of shifting standards on slamming his health today.

Taking the most ridiculous 180 is Mr. Chait, who not only is today contradicting his past defenses of Fetterman, but he is trying to claim that conservatives are the ones who are now opposing their prior stances…by…not making comments on his health, we have to guess…?

Both Kinds of Standards – CNN

  • It does not matter what the result is, tariffs are bad – both ways!

We have already been through this with oil prices, as the press initially screeched Trump failed to bring those down, then when faced with the reality of plunging crude futures, they wailed that the price dropping “too low” was the new complaint. Now, we see the same tactic at CNN.

We have business correspondent Chris Isidore, who in early April was intoning all of the trauma Trump’s tariffs would cause in the automobile market, as they were certain to drive up prices. Now, just over a month later, Isidore is back and when we see that automobile pricing has not been affected,THAT is said to be a bad economic indicator.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – MSNBC

  • Well how DARE they get upset like Democrats had been a year earlier!

It has been a story of immense amusement to see New York Attorney General Letitia James being charged with the very type of financial fraud charges that she brought against Donald Trump. Now matter how the press tries to spin this, they run head-first into their own narratives.

No one gets charged for this? Uh, sorry, she charged him with this.

Lawfare? Then that means she was guilty of the same.

Trump is attacking a political opponent? Then how do you describe Ms. James’ campaign pledging to do this very thing?

“No one is above the law”? Well, that one is certainly haunting them today.

In another desperate lurch, at MSNBC, it resident leftist blogger Ja’Han Jones thinks he sees a new angle in which to scorch those on the right.

Note his un-deft attempt to deflect, as James is not being charged for crimes involving doing her job but for fraudulent mortgage maneuvers in her private life.
