Pathological Media Amnesia – NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO

  • Seriously, how smart was this, considering Elon is holding your payout check?

If you ever need a sterling example of how the facts shift based on what party is in power, we give NPR.

Remember the story that broke last fall about two astronauts stuck on the international space station because they could not be properly retrieved? Well, Donald Trump has called in Elon Musk to see if he could use his SpaceX system to go up and bring them back home. Well, this just will not do…

See, in the press, it is the default to oppose anything and everything involving Trump or Musk – and if it involves both then, well, it compounds the intolerance. As a result, we now get told by NPR that these astronauts are not, in fact, stranded in space…so then, we just let them linger in orbit, is that the thinking here? But more ridiculous than that is in getting snippy and defying the claim made by Trump-Musk, NPR has to actually contradict its own reporting, where it repeatedly declared these same astronauts were in fact “stranded” on the ISS.

Pre-Written Field Reports – CHANNEL 4 NEWS, U.K.

  • These questions may have sounded good in your head, but maybe run them by somebody first, to get a second opinion.

While this stands as yet another example of Tom Homan’s unflinching style when hit with supposedly challenging encounters with the media, we need to this time just look at the insipidness on display from this journalist. She apparently got some new information about the deportation flights and wanted to make Homan buckle under her withering confrontation. Instead, you can almost see him trying to stifle amusement.

You first get the slanted approach by this reporterette calling the illegals “migrants,” but then she lapses into more ridiculousness, accusing Homan of denying the expelled illegals water on these flights. Her evidence is never provided, of course, not that Homan even cared.

She soldiers on though, also hitting him with a most asinine charge – why does he have to use such big planes to transport them, because of the way these appear on camera?!

Had he walked away chuckling at that point it would have been completely understandable.

Pre-Written Field Reports (literally) – THE DAILY MAIL

  • Just a few quotes and the article is finished – as soon as the hearing begins.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endured his Senate confirmation hearing today. Now, while it was essentially a given the Democrats on the Hill were going to be dependably irksome and emotionally unhinged, it still stands that proper reporting would be to actually witness events before reporting on them.

In the press pool at the Capitol, Daily Mail Washington correspondent Sarah Ewall-Wice was caught on camera with her report on the hearing queued up, with the headline declaring what had happened – prior to the hearing beginning.

DNC PR FIRM – CNN

  • When Jake’s emotions are faster than his tongue.

On CNN, Jake Tapper interviewed administration official Stephen Miller about the prospect of removing a significant number of government workers. It is a sign of the new culture in this country that the familiar tactics in the press are no longer having the same traction, and not tolerated by the new administration.

In the somewhat heated exchange, Miller explained how an overwhelming number of government workers were found to have donated to Kamala Harris, a concern over loyalty then becoming an issue. Jake was constantly interrupting Miller as he was delivering strong points, and the host elicited a laugh from Miller as he stated Miller was demonizing these workers. Miller asked, amusingly, if Tapper felt that calling them Kamala supporters was demonizing these workers.

Gilded Reframe – THE HILL

  • Given the press tried to rewrite Kamala’s work history during the campaign, only natural they would rewrite how the campaign went for her as well.

In what is considered one of the biggest of the many misfires seen with her election bid, Kamala Harris spurned the offer by titan podcaster Joe Rogan to appear on his show. Reportedly the campaign had made the demand that Rogan fly out to meet Harris at a location, as well as placing requirements on time limits and editing. Rogan does none of those things; you sit in his studio and have an uninterrupted live discussion, as he has done with every guest. As we have learned, Harris could not sustain such a lengthy, unscripted session, and the absence of editing fixes was another deal-breaker for the word salad expert.

Now, we get an attempt to rewrite what transpired from The Hill. In an excerpt from an upcoming book on the election, we hear that the Kamala camp strained to book a time with Rogan in Austin, Texas, but the scheduling could not fit, and they declared there was no way to get back to the state with scant weeks remaining. Of course, somehow they managed to find the means and time to have Harris jet to New York City for a last-minute cameo on “Saturday Night Live.” That appearance ended up being one of preaching to the choir, as opposed to reaching the new audience that Rogan would have provided.
