Both Kinds of Standards – THE DAILY SHOW
Your accuracy is deeply offensive, Jon!
After he was unceremoniously dismissed from his Apple+ program, free agent Jon Stewart returned to the desk on the Comedy Central show he made popular, "The Daily Show." For his opening monologue, Jon addressed the decrepit nature of the two candidates for the presidency, and this has set off many on the left.
See, Stewart was saying that both Biden and Trump are up there in years, but looking over the ill-conceived reactions, it shows what has them upset is his daring to look objectively at anyone but the required targets of Trump/Republicans/conservatives. The tell here is that Stewart was not inaccurate, he just was not 100% ORANGE MAN VILE!

Even overseas, the threat of "conservatives notice" is very real!
In Italy, there was a reported case of a gang rape taking place. However, the assailants were Muslims, and that kind of dire news would not reflect well, so a solution needs to be made to adjust the coverage. Ah, here's the solution!
Those damned conservatives will probably try to make some kind of political statement over this crime. Run with that!

Stealth Story Evolution – THE DAILY BEAST
The intolerance towards a positive outcome for Israel has been noted.
There was some encouraging news to come out of the Israel-Gaza war, as some hostages had been rescued by IDF troops and reunited with their families. Yet, despite the feel-good nature of this news item, The Daily Beast just had to inject its commentary, before being called out and making the subtle but still very noticeable adjustment to its headline.
In that vein, @TheDailyBeast "allegedly" stealth-edited this post from what it originally read. https://t.co/2hx8P4GJEL pic.twitter.com/5xXTT0HyaC

Reporting on the Mirror – ROLLING STONE
While not the dire news of announced layoffs, this still cannot be regarded as a positive sign for the outlet. News just came out that Entertainment Editor Marlow Stern is stepping away from the magazine. This comes just days after it was reported that Editor-in-Chief Noah Shachtman was also leaving, in just a matter of a couple of weeks. The reasons given were due to editorial differences with CEO Gus Wenner.
When hired in the summer of 2021, he was expected to bring the internet-savvy editorial drive he fostered at The Daily Beast, and in many ways, he did just that, as Rolling Stone has put out some consistently risible editorial content since he took the reins.

Legalized Press-titution – HARPER’S BAZAAR
Look, we are certain there is an audience that is just eager to devour any news about the deposed royals, Prince Hank and his wife. But even so, is that hunger to know it all about them so rapacious that you need to have updates concerning something they did NOT do?!
At Harper's, there must have been a lull long enough between stories on the attention-addicted palace pariahs because there was supposedly a need to detail why they had not been in attendance at the Super Bowl this past weekend.
