The billions spent by the Gulf state have paid off with the murder of two young Israeli diplomats.
Those of us who live with corrective lenses often see the world as a blur. When you can’t find your glasses or your contact lenses decide to go on strike, the world loses its contours. Sure, that blob over there must be a bottle of Coca-Cola: red in the middle, black above and below. One of the great deceits of the left is to present to us a blurry world to serve its ideological ends.
Let’s talk about immigration. In order to justify millions of unvetted, unskilled, and oftentimes uneducated illegal immigrants, the left has brought out the story of how much immigration has contributed to America. Articles in Forbes describe billionaire immigrants in the tech sector. Drones in the news bring the names of great immigrants who built things and made America prosperous. Everything they say is correct except for one pesky fact: the people whom they correctly describe as titans of industry and contributors to a better America were legal immigrants. They went through whatever process was in place in their day to legally enter the United States. When I cleared out my parents’ home in Las Vegas, I found several key documents that aided my mother’s entry into the US via Ellis Island. There was a distant German cousin who passed away in Utah and left money in US bank accounts for the family upkeep. There were testimonials from German Jews in New York as to the family and that they would take financial responsibility for my mother and grandparents should the need arise. Legal immigrants have made America great; illegal immigrants may do manual labor, but they are brought en masse in order to destroy the traditional fabric of the country. You don’t bring in 10 or 20 million people and expect that nothing will change. No, illegal immigrants are not the same as legal immigrants.

The same deceit occurs in the world of “green energy”. There is no question that a full EV does not give off gases through its nonexistent tailpipe. But the electricity that keeps the car going may well be from coal, so how is that any better than gasoline? Also, the process of making the massive batteries for electric cars is energy-intensive and nature-destructive. Some studies looking at the total lifecycle of electric cars or PV plates suggest that they are dirtier than their traditional alternatives. Again, in order to wipe out the fossil fuel underpinnings of modern material comfort, a quick sleight of hand is in order to claim that green is so clean. When Michael Moore made a movie showing the dark side of the green energy hustle, he was disowned by the left for a few years.
And then we come to the Palestinians. Only a liar would equate starting a war with fighting back. The Allies sure killed a lot of Axis civilians, but as normal people knew back then, Germany and Japan started wars over which they could not dictate what would come next. The atomic bombs killed tens of thousands of Japanese and probably saved the lives of millions of GIs and Japanese that would have been lost in the planned invasion of the Japanese home islands. When two Israelis were shot dead in Washington, the liars without glasses would say, “Israel kills Palestinians; Palestinians and their supporters kill Israelis. It’s all the same.” But of course it is not. The IDF does its best to prosecute a war to destroy Hamas; yes, civilians die but collateral deaths are not the same as intentional murders. The lefty from Chicago who killed a young Israeli man and a young American woman who were to be engaged killed a Jew and a Christian, and as such those who hate Israel see a victory. That is one of the big advantages for terrorists: it doesn’t matter whom they kill; they want all Jews dead so any dead Jew is a victory for them. The IDF and other Israeli security forces do not kill people for sport or to add to the number of dead Palestinians. The left and Muslims will always intentionally equate fighting a war and killing civilians in a dense urban area with simply taking a gun and shooting an Israeli or Jew, whether it’s a pregnant woman in Israel or a young couple in love on the streets of Washington.
The murderer regurgitated the standard hymns that he learned from his Qatari-funded Muslim friends: “Free, free Palestine” and the crowd pleaser, “intifada revolution”. It would have been more logical that the killer should have been an Arab; but the fact that the killer is a known socialist kook from Chicago further proves that the fusion of Islam and the left in the West is complete. While their values and lifestyles are wildly different, their shared hatreds have made them into one political and violent blob. Their hatred of Jews, Israel and the West now make them interchangeable in attacking Jews or demanding the end of the United States.
The foreign minister of Qatar at one point after the October 7th massacre used “I am Hamas” as his X handle. The funding is not solely from Qatar but their billions poured into universities, Muslim Brotherhood organizations and supporting leftist groups have led to a radicalization of large parts of Western societies. Those on the left, Muslims, and certain people on the right cannot condemn the murder of an Israeli and American on a sidewalk in the nation’s capital. “They are Israelis!” “They work for the state of Israel!” “They probably did mandatory army service!” They will find any excuse to support the murder of a young couple that was dreaming of marrying and starting their new lives.
On the day after Elias Rodriguez murdered two Israelis for no crime other than guilt by association, the IDF told residents of Deir-al-Balah the specific names and locations of three Hamas terrorists in their town. Israel could have carpet bombed the area or blown up three buildings and killed lots of people; rather, it announced the precise location of the terrorists so as to kill them and no one else. That is the difference between the good guys and the bad guys.
Oftentimes in movies, a victim is killed not by the one he feared but rather by someone he trusted. We have our defenses up for Iran, as they also support anti-Western activity and state their hatred of the US. But Qatar—they always seem to be smiling. Yet, they put the money behind the groups that taught the murderer about “Palestine” and “intifada”, concepts that were foreign to him when he was doing his socialist shtick in Chicago. The Pentagon may have received a plane from Qatar. The American people have received a planeload of trouble from this Islamist country.
Ban Muslim Brotherhood organizations like CAIR and Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). Also, charge 100% tax on any monies given by Qatar and similar Islamist states to American universities. Islamic goals are not compatible with American freedoms. A young dead couple is proof of this reality.
