John Nantz

John Nantz is a retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent and a Fox News and Newsmax commentator. A graduate of Regent University School of Law, Nantz served twenty years as an FBI Special Agent assigned to the Miami and Washington Field Offices, retiring from the Washington Field Office as a Supervisory Special Agent. Prior to joining the FBI, he served as a Deputy Sheriff, bringing his total law enforcement career to twenty-six years.

During his time in local and federal law enforcement, Nantz worked across multiple operational disciplines including counterintelligence, surveillance operations, dignitary protection, criminal investigations, and tactical operations. In the final years of his FBI career, he managed complex surveillance operations supporting national security and criminal investigations.

Following his retirement, Nantz testified before Congress regarding the FBI’s investigation into the January 6 pipe bomb case and broader concerns surrounding transparency and accountability within federal law enforcement.

Today, Nantz provides analysis and commentary on law enforcement, national security, and government oversight. He is a contributor to Townhall and frequently appears on Fox News and Newsmax.
