Even the Chicago Bears might leave the Windy City under Democratic leadership of Mayor Brandon Johnson and Gov. J.B. Pritzker.

The Bears are getting closer to striking a deal to have a stadium built in Indiana. Johnson and Pritzker have had years to strike an agreement with the team that's spent 105 years in Chicago, but now might leave.

An Indiana government panel has approved a bill that seeks to create a stadium authority that can buy land and lease a stadium.

Johnson said there is "clear evidence" for why the Bears should stay, but he didn't present it.

Most people who leave the city of Chicago and the entire state of Illinois cite high taxes, according to the Illinois Policy Institute. Other people leave Chicago because of sky-high property taxes, high crime, and ever-increasing regulations on businesses that drive up the cost of living.

Since 1931, Chicago has been run by Democratic leaders who span teacher's unions, the Mayor's office, and the governor's office. The Bears moved to Chicago from Decatur in 1921.
