Nvidia CEO: Trump Is America’s Unmatched Advantage in the Global AI Race

During the All-In podcast's 'Winning the AI Race' summit, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang shared positive remarks about President Donald Trump and the power he has on the global stage. Huang recently declared that the United States’ unparalleled advantage on the worldwide stage is none other than President Trump. At a time when U.S. innovation faces mounting threats from foreign competitors and bloated bureaucracy, Huang’s remarks underscore that Trump's firm, unapologetic leadership is the cornerstone of American exceptionalism.

"America's unique advantage that no country could possibly have is President Trump," Huang said, adding that it is mainly because the president has understood the importance of energy for Artificial Intelligence (AI).

While Trump's understanding of AI has evolved, his approach largely reflects his broader worldview, which is centered on economic competition, national security, and American dominance. Trump has viewed AI as a strategic national asset, not just a technology. His stance has focused on maintaining U.S. leadership in AI to counter global rivals-- especially China.

"On the first day of his administration, he realised the importance of AI, and he realised the importance of energy. For the last I don't know how many years, energy production was vilified, if you guys remember," Huang continued.

"We can't create new industries without energy. You can't reshore manufacturing without energy. You can't sustain a brand-new industry like artificial intelligence without energy. If we decide, as a country, the only thing we want is IP—to be an IP-only, a services-only country—then we don't need much energy. But if we want to produce things, something as vital as artificial intelligence, then we need energy," he added.

President Trump has consistently framed AI as a pillar of American industry, focusing on its role in driving competitiveness, creating jobs, and securing technological dominance. He has applauded companies like Nvidia and Tesla for advancing AI, particularly when their innovations fuel market growth, transform manufacturing, or strengthen national defense. At the same time, he has warned against heavy-handed regulation, arguing that it stifles innovation and risks letting adversaries like China gain the upper hand.
