Disney executives have reportedly asked the hosts of The View to dial back their inflammatory political rhetoric, which has become hostile, especially toward conservatives and President Donald Trump. For years, the show has served as a platform for left-wing talking points, often alienating conservative viewers.
Disney CEO Bob Iger and ABC News boss Almin Karamehmedovic reportedly met with the ladies of The View, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro, to tone down their obvious and constant hate and disdain for conservatives, especially the president. They have also made inflammatory statements about white people, Christians, and MAGA supporters throughout the years.
A source familiar with the matter said that Karamehmedovic sat down with The View's hosts and executive producer Brian Teta to talk about the show's heavy emphasis on political topics. He encouraged the panel to broaden their discussions and cover a wider range of issues beyond politics. However, the hosts were reportedly resistant to the suggestion, arguing that their viewers are specifically interested in their takes on political subjects.
“This is what our audience wants,” one of the hosts allegedly said. “Isn’t it gonna look kind of bad if we’re all of a sudden not talking about politics?”
The source said that despite Karamehmedovic’s suggestion, the hosts said it was “silly” and have decided to continue “doing their thing.”
