In a moment that perfectly captures the media’s double standard and obsession with mocking President Donald Trump, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel invited Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) on his show—only to play a clip of Trump poking fun at Pritzker’s weight. However, instead of standing up for himself or addressing real issues facing his state, Pritzker laughed along and then found himself being grilled by Kimmel over why he was “ordering five burgers.”
On Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Pritzker became the target of a string of weight-related jokes. Kimmel aired a clip of former President Trump mocking Pritzker, saying, “He’s too busy eating, he wants to eat all the time. ‘Would like a hamburger? How many do you want? Five.”
What appeared to be an attempt to attack Trump for his comments turned into Kimmel mocking Pritzker.
“Well, yeah… why are you ordering five burgers?” Kimmel asked.
The late-night host kept the fat jokes rolling, having the Democrat governor read out a list of nicknames Kimmel jokingly guessed Trump might use to mock him.

“JBLT,” “JB the Hut,” “JB Pritz His Pants,” and “JBackribs,” the governor said.
Kimmel said if it were up to Americans to decide which nickname Pritzker got, his vote would be for “JBackribs.”
Later in the show, Pritzker called Trump an “authoritarian” who is “tearing apart the things that matter to working families.” He claimed the president was taking healthcare from Americans nationwide and threatening to erase Social Security.
"Everything we care about is under siege by a racist, misogynist, homophobic, xenophobic president of the United States.'...And oddly, he spent a lot of time, you know -- I don't know, talking to me, seemingly interested in being my friend. It was very odd," he said.
