Not Shocking: Majority of Democrats Agree With Pro-Hamas Campus Protesters

A recent poll found that the majority of Democrats agree with the list of demands from pro-terrorism college protestors as the nation continues to be greatly divided over the Israel-Hamas war.

According to a recent USA Today/Suffolk University poll, nearly half of Democrat respondents said they agree with the ongoing pro-Hamas protestors who have demanded amnesty, free food, and supplies as they harass and torment Jewish students on campus.

Thirty-two percent of Democrats suggested they support the pro-terrorism protests, while 38 percent of respondents said they agree with the demonstrator’s demands. However, most disagreed with the way they portrayed themselves in front of the media.

Only 17 percent of Democrats said they oppose the protests.

The list of “needs” that pro-Hamas protestors are demanding as they continue to camp on campus grounds include vegan and gluten-free food, gas masks, rope, and zip ties, “super bright” flashlights with strobe, shields, and rain ponchos.

Some students at UCLA have also previously demanded to be granted special treatment as they await the fate of their consequences after being arrested and suspended.

On the contrary, 81 percent of Republicans strongly oppose the demonstrations.

In a stark contrast to the left, only four percent of Republican respondents say they agree with the pro-Hamas protests with nine percent agreeing with the list of their demands.

It is also worth noting that the majority, if not all, of the pro-terrorism protestors are or were previously President Joe Biden supporters.

“Support for the protests was highest among younger voters,Director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center,  David Paleologos said. "The oldest voters, those 65 and older, is the age group that is the most supportive of Biden, followed by those ages 35 to 49. These older voters are also the most aligned against the protests."

In a survey conducted by Generation Lab for Axios, 81 percent of respondents say they want universities to hold protesters accountable who have destroyed property, vandalized, or illegally occupied campus buildings.

In addition, 67 percent of them believe that occupying campus buildings is the wrong way of protesting.
