How Did the Squad Members React to the Death of the Bibas Children? As Shamefully As You'd Expect

As Townhall has been covering, the bodies of murdered young children, Kfir and Ariel Bibas, who were just 10-months-old and 4-years-old when they were killed no later than November 2023, after being taken hostage on October 7 of that year, were returned to Israel. The body of their mother, Shiri Bibas, was however not returned, as Hamas paraded the coffins only to send the body of an unidentified woman, who was not even one of the 251 hostages. Israel, and the rest of the world has reacted in sorrow and horror, with plans to be figured out now that Hamas has broken the ceasefire. Politicians in the United States from both sides of the aisle have spoken up about the Bibas family, though many want to know what notable Democrats in the Squad have to say.

The Squad, which has been nicknamed the Hamas caucus, is compromised of anti-Israel members. One particularly notorious member, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), was censured a month after the October 7 attack after doubling down on anti-Israel falsehoods and defending the genocidal phrase of "from the river to the sea."  Another member, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), also has a habit of antisemitic remarks, though she's been excused by her fellow Democrats.

Tlaib posted from her official account on Friday lamenting how "trans people are murdered simply for being who they are." Her post was a quoted repost from an anti-Israel, Soros-funded, far-left group known as Jewish Voices for Peace, whose members have participated in violent calls for ceasefires.

From her political account on Thursday, Tlaib shared a post about children, specifically how "It's absolutely disgusting to turn our backs on children."

Perhaps this is to do with the Bibas children and other countless children and babies brutally targeted by Hamas terrorists? Not so fast. She was reposting another far-left Democrat, Chuy García, who was ranting about deportations.

In a post from Tuesday that limited comments, Tlaib on Instagram lamented how "Anti Palestinian racism is real," also calling it "dangerous and freaking disgusting."

Neither Tlaib's official account nor political one, nor Jewish Voices for Peace mentioned the Bibas on X on Thursday. They've actually never even done so. Sickeningly, despite having "Jewish" in their name, the far-left group instead ranted and raved with multiple posts and reposts about Israel and Israelis. Many such posts spread pro-Hamas propaganda, which includes sharing Al Jazeera English.

Omar posted and reposted plenty on Thursday and Friday from her official and political accounts, though nothing from her about the Bibas children, either. Her political account did go after President Donald Trump and Elon Musk at great length, though.

Not only did Omar not post one word about the Bibas family or Israel on Thursday, she shared news from anti-Israel commentary Mehdi Hasan, who was gleefully sharing that former members of the Squad--former Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) and former Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO)--would be launching a monthly YouTube show, "Bowman and Bush" for Zeteo, which was founded by Hasan approximately one year ago.

Bowman and Bush, just as anti-Israel as other members of the Squad, both lost their primaries last year and were replaced by pro-Israel Democrats, now Rep. George Latimer and now Rep. Wesley Bell. Neither Bush nor Bowman posted to X about the Bibas children on Thursday, though Bush continued to tout pro-Hamas propaganda all throughout Thursday. Latimer, meanwhile, did post about the Bibas family, before it was confirmed that it was not actually Shiri's body that was returned on Thursday.

Another prominent Squad member worth mentioning is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), whose state includes the largest Jewish population in the country. Outside of Israel, New York City has the largest Jewish population in the country and world.

Neither of AOC's X accounts have posted about the Bibas family, though. While she has not posted from her official account since February 13, she's been posting plenty from her political account to go after Trump and Musk.

Her silence on the Bibas children--on Thursday and since they were taken hostage along with their mother on October 7--is particularly shameful given that she had a laser focus for days last month when Musk made a gesture at a rally for Trump's inauguration that she insisted was a Nazi salute.

As we covered at the time, AOC even called out the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for daring to defend Musk against the angry mob that she and other Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media were relentlessly part of. The congresswoman kept up the grift so much so that she sent out an email about calling out Nazis.

Now that the world has been affected by modern day Nazis who target Jews for torture, murder, rape, and kidnapping, AOC appears to be silent. Users over X have particularly called the congresswoman out for her silence, some by name and quoted reposts, given that she took it upon herself to go after Musk and even tell the ADL that "People can officially stop listening to you as any sort of reputable source of information now."

When it comes to AOC's dig at the ADL last month, it's worth mentioning that their X account has mourned the loss of the Bibas children and outrage over Shiri's body through several posts and reposts, including with a pinned post from Friday

It's also worth pointing out that other New York Democrats, besides Latimer, have also posted about the Bibas family. This includes Gov. Kathy Hochul, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), whose district is right next to AOC's, and who has made it clear he was not going to join the Squad due to the anti-Israel positions of such members.

Other Squad members, including Reps. Summer Lee (D-PA), Greg Casar (D-TX), and Delia Ramirez (D-IL) were also silent. This is despite how Lee and Ramirez still posted on Thursday, with Lee sharing multiple posts about the "Bowman and Bush" show.
