Pennsylvania Republican Sees Massive Fundraising Haul in First Weeks of Senate Campaign

Bartos For U.S. Senate/Facebook

Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Jeff Bartos, a lifelong Pennsylvanian and small business owner, announced an impressive fundraising haul during the opening weeks of his campaign. Bartos previously ran for Lieutenant Governor in 2018, and vowed to “get s**t done” if elected to the upper chamber.

Bartos brought in $1.2 million in the first 3 weeks of his Senate bid, while drawing a clear distinction between himself and “career politicians” who have failed Pennsylvanians.

“What this first report shows is that our campaign will raise the resources necessary to hold whoever the Democrat candidate is in November accountable, and keep this seat in Republican control,” Bartos said on Monday. "Everyday Pennsylvanians are standing up to the career politicians who have left them behind, talked down to them, and pursued policies that crushed them and their families for generations.”

On the Democratic side, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman (D-PA) is also seeing fundraising success. Another Democrat contender, Montgomery County Commissioner Val Arkoosh, joined Fetterman in the race on Monday morning.

Republicans hope to keep control of the competitive seat that is being vacated by GOP Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) upon the 2022 midterm election.
