With Extreme Poverty at All-Time Lows, Democratic Socialists Hope to Reverse the Trend

Capitalism is the world's great equalizer, and it has done more to raise people out of poverty than any other economic system on the planet. That, of course, is why the communists and their socialist cousins hate it. Under the ideal communist regime, there are only two classes: the wealthy, which consists of the politicians and those who are adequate bootlickers, and the poor.

Communism has to be that way. A robust middle class negates the need for centralized planning and massive government control over every aspect of our lives, from the cradle to the mass grave. That's why the commies have to destroy anything and everything that builds up the middle class: culture, religion, and especially the nuclear family.

That's why this chart will terrify them, and why the commies are trying to take over America and destroy it and Western civilization.

This is anathema to them, because it threatens their stranglehold on power. When capitalism lifts so many out of poverty, the argument that socialism is needed to balance the playing field no longer holds what little water it did.

And despite the argument that we can thank communist China for it, the poverty rate fell even if you exclude China from the equation.

I would argue that China is now communist in name only, and has adopted capitalistic practices because communism was absolutely crushing the country.

It will set you free and make you wealthy.

Much in the same way the Left switched from 'global warming' to the broader 'climate change.'

"The reduction of extreme poverty as has never happened in the history of humanity, IS NOT a product of Redistribution. It IS a PRODUCT of economic growth, which is achieved through the accumulation of wealth and improvements in education and the transmission of knowledge. Public resources (our taxes) should be used to generate opportunities, improve public education and public infrastructure, NOT TO DISTRIBUTE MONEY, that HAS NEVER worked," Jones wrote.

And yet that's what the American Left is clamoring for. After Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire, they acted like he was taking money out of my pocket, and that if I struggled to buy groceries or pay rent, it's because Elon took my money for his own enrichment.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Elon Musk created his wealth by offering products and services that people want, including our government, which pays Elon's companies to provide various services. Taking Elon Musk's wealth to redistribute it to the Left's preferred demographic groups and causes will raise no one out of poverty.

But raising people out of poverty isn't the point, of course. The point is the Left's expansion of power by any means necessary. And there's no better way to hold on to power than by creating a class of impoverished people who depend on your benevolence to survive.

There's a reason why most of today's communists are rich, privileged trust-fund Leftists. Zohran Mamdani's parents own a compound in Uganda. Katie Wilson in Seattle had her parents pay her bills. Cea Weaver's folks own a mansion in Tennessee while she rails against property rights in the Big Apple. They think socialism 'works' because they've never been poor. But there's a reason why middle- and working-class New Yorkers broke heavily for Cuomo in the mayoral race, and why Susan Collins was leading Graham Platner by 21 points among similar demographics.

The middle- and working-class Americans know communism doesn't work for them. It is the privileged ideology of people born into wealth. Those people desire one thing: to have the power to control the rest of us in every aspect of our lives.

It's evil and insidious. But that's communism for you.

Which is why we must reject it, and those pushing for it, soundly.
