Look Who These Democrats Are Supporting in the World Cup. Hint: It's Not the United States.

The Democrats are proving to be thoroughly anti-patriotic as the World Cup ramps up. An interview with Rep. Adriano Espaillat and congressional candidate Darializa Chevalier on a local news channel revealed that the two politicians were not supporting their home country in the sporting tournament.

Espaillat, a Dominican-American who is noted for being the first former illegal alien to become a federally elected official, stated that he was rooting for the Mexican national team. Chevalier, who was raised by Dominican immigrants and had previously lived in the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, stated that she was backing the African state of Senegal.

Just days before their betrayal, the U.S. national team had destroyed the Paraguayan national team 4-1 in their World Cup opener. The performance showed that the U.S. had a real possibility of going far into the tournament, especially considering a tournament-favorite in Spain drew their match against Cabo Verde and the Paraguayan team had previously defeated Brazil and Argentina before the World Cup.

How hard is it to get behind the U.S. when you’re quite literally working to represent the United States of America in government? Seems rather disqualifying, doesn’t it?
