Knicks Fan Sent a Philly Reporter Flowers With This Hilarious Note. Yes, We're Insane

The New York Knicks will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals tonight. But before that, Jalen Brunson and his team had to handle business with Philadelphia, which knocked off another hated rival—the Boston Celtics—in seven games. In the end, New York took care of the Sixers, and with Cleveland and Detroit still fighting it out, some Knicks fans showed they were passionate, crazy, and maybe had too much free time.

Cheyenne Corin of ABC6 Philadelphia took to social media to report on a gift she received: a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a note that read, “You handled that like a New Yorker.. come to the winning team -Knicks In 4.”

That’s wild and awesome. Corin appeared on a news segment in which the Knicks, who took over Xfinity Arena in Philly, engulfed her after their four-game sweep.

Look, Philly, I appreciate you knocking off Boston, even though we could’ve beaten them, too. Yes, in that Boston-Philly series, Joel Embiid looked like his 2017 self, but he’s also been injury-prone, not playing more than six straight games since 2023. That didn’t change, as he sat out game two at the Garden.

Tyrese Maxey is talented, but he’s not going to become Philly’s version of Brunson—never. There was a delusional wave of media claiming the Sixers could beat the Knicks in the conference semifinals—that was never realistic. The Knicks closed out the series in Game Four during the first quarter, hitting 11 three-pointers, tying an NBA playoff record for most three-pointers scored in a quarter. They won 144-114. Philly allowed the second-most points in Sixers’ franchise playoff history.

Enjoy the flowers, Corin.
