President Trump, in a post on Truth Social, announced that the Iranian regime is asking for a ceasefire of Operation Epic Fury, which has been going on for just over a month.

The Strait of Hormuz, a major shipping lane for oil and other goods, has been a big point of contention in Operation Epic Fury. On March 26, the U.S. announced that Alireza Tangsiri, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy commander in charge of the Strait of Hormuz, was killed in airstrikes along with several of his top aides.
