Wait, the Portland Police Chief Cried Over This?

The nation is reeling over the January 7 ICE shooting in Minneapolis that killed Renee Nicole Good, 37, who accelerated her vehicle toward a federal agent, prompting that office to act in self-defense. It’s on video, but the liberal media, crusty boomer New Left clowns, and insane white leftist hags ran with the ‘ICE murdered Good’ narrative, so it’s chaos. Yet, a day later, there was another ICE-involved shooting in Portland, but the suspects were Tren de Aragua, and that revelation and its confirmation made for an awkward moment for the city’s police chief.

He cried. This puss cake cried that the shooting was justified, and the suspects were part of a narco-terrorist gang. I’m second-hand embarrassed right now (via NY Post):

Portland’s police chief broke down in tears Friday while confirming that two illegal immigrants shot by a federal agent had suspected ties to the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, KGW News reported.

Police Chief Bob Day said the two suspects wounded in a U.S. Customs and Border Protection encounter had a “nexus” to the gang, backing up a Department of Homeland Security statement released earlier in the day.

“They do have some nexus to involvement with TDA. We can confirm that,” Day said, pausing as he choked up during a news conference.

Day said he initially hesitated to disclose the suspected gang ties, citing concerns about what he called the “historic injustice of victim blaming,” while stressing the shooting remains under investigation and that the information was released for transparency.

You’re not doing your job, Bob—that’s a political decision. And you such decisions could imperil public safety. You’re upset that they’re gang members. Then, I remember, this is left-wing, godless, insane Portland.

Here’s what happened:

At 2:19 PST, US Border Patrol agents were conducting a targeted vehicle stop in Portland, Oregon. The passenger of the vehicle and target is a Venezuelan illegal alien affiliated with the transnational Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in Portland. The vehicle driver is believed to be a member of the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. When agents identified themselves to the vehicle occupants, the driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents. Fearing for his life and safety, an agent fired a defensive shot.

The driver drove off with the passenger, fleeing the scene.

What a clown show we’re dealing with; these people get more unserious by the hour.
