About 20-30 years ago, media companies across the political spectrum were good - even CNN and 60 Minutes.

A recent video by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. After the video went viral, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced a "massive investigation on childcare… pic.twitter.com/vvQv8DEbaV

CNN has already gone after @nickshirleyy, attempting to write off his reporting in Minnesota and lamenting his lack of “fact checks” and “guardrails.”

I’m not sure I would hang my hat on the legacy media’s “fact checks” or “guardrails” but at least CNN accurately reported that… pic.twitter.com/b9OgNFpFMb
One apparent writer posted a thinly-veiled death threat at investigative reporters.

Thanks to Elon Musk's acquisition of X, anyone with a camera, basic knowledge of government, and some extra time can go about questioning government spending. We no longer have to rely on reporters from major news organizations to break a story.
Shirley’s video racked up over 80 million views.
60 minutes averages around 8-10 million viewers a week.

Nick Shirley's Somalia post on X has over 70 million views.
This is a great example of why legacy media is dead in America and X is the new media https://t.co/RnkpFqX4qD

Nick Shirley exposed widespread fraud in Minnesota. We need a Nick Shirley in all 50 states.
