Climate Alarmists Find a New Way We're All Gonna Die

From global cooling to global warming to climate change, climate alarmists have been bound and determined not just to tell us that the Earth is going to become uninhabitable, but that it will be all our fault.

Never mind that none of their climate models have ever panned out; it was true and all because of us. Now, they've found a new way we're all going to die.

Once again, it sounds like we're back to the good old days of the 1970s and the global cooling thing:

A key Atlantic current could be pushed to the brink of collapse within decades, supposedly ushering in a new ice age and dramatically raising sea levels, climate scientists have claimed in a controversial new study published in the journal Communications Earth & Environment.

The apocalyptic predictions came as a result of a collaboration between researchers at the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOCAS) and the University of California, San Diego — weeks after one-time climate alarmist Bill Gates publicly downplayed the impact of temperature fluctuations on the planet.

Per the new findings, the at-risk current in question is the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation or AMOC, a “conveyor belt of the ocean” that funnels warm water toward the ocean surface — from the tropics to the Northern Hemisphere.

This current, which includes the Gulf Stream that runs from the Gulf of Mexico to the US East Coast and across the Atlantic to Europe, helps maintain the mild climate of Europe, the UK, and the US East Coast.

The study stated that the source of this marine temperature regulator, the Greenland Ice sheet, is being thawed amid warming temperatures, causing meltwater runoff to leach into the North Atlantic — leading to stagnation.

This would be a bit easier to swallow if they hadn't gotten literally every prediction they made in the past wrong. Now, we're supposed to panic because of a new ice age.

I'm pretty sure it would irk these researchers if I told them I was cool with it because I live in Southwest Georgia, and I'm sick of the blistering summers. I'm inclined to welcome a new ice age or two.

The truth is that there's funding in alarmism. No one gets massive grants to research the climate if they're saying, "Yeah, it's looking like there's just more of the same on the horizon."

So, they use the absolute worst-case predictions they can come up with, make some headlines, get some new funding, then prance off to do whatever they do when they're not playing Chicken Little.

Now, the issue is that the Gulf Stream is going to be sploshed into oblivion by melting water, and the ice caps that were supposed to have melted away completely a few years ago will expand and take over the entire planet.

And this time, they really, really mean it. We should totally take them seriously this time, because they wouldn't lead us astray. Not after the last few dozen times they tried to, at least.

Honestly, the only thing more pathetic than them peddling this crap is that there are legions out there buying it.
