Rep. Jasmine Crockett Rejects Claims Democrats Incite Violence

Over the last several weeks, there has been a tremendous amount of discussion over Left-wing violence. This round started after the horrific shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where a "trans-identifying" man opened fire at Annunciation Catholic Church and school, killing two children and wounding several others.

It intensified on Wednesday, when TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Orem, Utah at the first stop on "The American Comeback Tour." Today, FBI officials announced that they took the suspect, Tyler Robinson, into custody. As Townhall reported earlier, Robinson's political views had changed in recent years and he "didn't like" Charlie Kirk. Officials also confirmed Antifa slogans were etched into bullet casings.

Conservatives, rightly, have pointed to years of rhetoric from Democrats as influencing and fueling this political violence. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), however, doesn't believe she -- or her fellow Democrats -- have ever said anything to "invoke violence:"

Crockett herself has been criticized for remarks she made directed at Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), when she said Democrats win elections in red Texas by saying, "I think that you punch, I think you punch, I think you OK with punching." She also called for Elon Musk to be "taken down." Crockett denies that either comment was an incitement to violence, of course.

Gavin Newsom responded to Texas redistricting by accusing Republicans of "destroying, vandalizing this democracy" and vowed to "[fight] fire with fire, and we're gonna punch these sons of b------ in the mouth."

Last week, Tim Walz said he dreamed about the day when he'd wake up to learn President Donald Trump was dead.

In 2020, Chuck Schumer was forced to walk back comments he made towards Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. When speaking to a pro-abortion group, Schumer said, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions." 

Justice John Roberts rebuked Schumer, who apologized. But the damage was done. In 2022, Nicholas Roske was arrested outside Kavanaugh's home. Authorities found Roske with a gun, a knife, and other weapons. In April, he pled guilty to a single charge of attempting to assassinate a United States justice. Sentencing is scheduled for October 3.

And in case Crockett needs video proof, here is a five-minute supercut of Democrats and their media allies calling for violence and "civil war:"

This includes presidential historian Douglas Brinkley, who said on CNN that, "There is an ultra-Right MAGA contention in this country that wants to overthrow the US government. It is a danger to our democracy." Democratic strategist and media commentator Donna Brazile said the "MAGA movement is a threat." Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) said we had to "confront and kill" the [MAGA] movement. MSNBC's Tiffany Cross said, "Obviously Republicans are the biggest threat to democracy."

Unfortunately for Crockett, the Internet is forever.
