Both El-Sayed and Tlaib share far-left, controversial policy positions that would be a red flag for many Michiganders. They openly support defunding the police, pushing for the abolition of ICE, and endorsing harmful gender mutilation surgeries on minors. Their anti-Israel stances are equally alarming, with both labeling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a war criminal and opposing crucial U.S. military aid to Israel.
Tlaib’s hesitation to officially endorse El-Sayed raises questions about political strategy and how far the Democratic Party’s left wing is willing to push its agenda in a battleground state.
