Another Left-Wing State Is Flouting Trump's Transgender Athlete Executive Order

Townhall previously covered how President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning so-called “transgender women” from women’s sports.

Despite this, the Democrat states of Minnesota and California worked to openly defy this order.

As a result,  the Trump White House revealed it was investigating the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and California Interscholastic Federation for violating the executive order.

Now, another state appears to be floating the executive order.

According to The Daily Wire, this “victory” helped Greely High School girls’ track and field team clinch the championship by one point.

Women’s sports advocates sounded off about the situation on X.

Maine state lawmaker Lauren Libby told The Daily Wire that “the Maine Principals’ Association to continue allowing male athletes to compete against female athletes in school athletic competitions is outrageous.”

“Not only does their decision violate President Trump’s February 5 Executive Order but it jeopardizes the safety and privacy of female athletes, all while allowing male athletes to take medals, trophies, and podium spots away from women, effectively erasing them,” she added.

“I urge the Trump Administration to move swiftly to ensure that female athletes in Maine can once again compete on a level playing field, preserving the integrity of women’s sports,” she concluded.
