Dozens of Seniors in NYC Were Kicked Out of Nursing Home...to Make Way for Illegal Immigrants

Tensions are rising in New York City as citizens continue to take a back seat to illegal immigrants. Last week, for example, many low-income residents were left without a Thanksgiving meal from the food bank because illegal immigrants were given first dibs.

“Why do we have to take the brunt of everything?” Queensbridge Housing resident Georgia Butler asked Fox 5. “This community is already suffering.”

Other vulnerable communities in the Big Apple have also been affected by the massive influx of illegal immigrants.

According to a Fox News report, dozens of seniors were kicked out of their senior center because it was being converted into a migrant shelter. Frank Tammaro, a 94-year-old resident, told the outlet he planned to stay there the rest of his life but was notified that he had to find another place to live. It was only when his family pressed for answers that they discovered the building was going to be used to house illegal immigrants—one of the 200 locations in the city converted into an emergency shelter since October 2022.

“I do get upset when I see them handing out all this money and all these things, and I’m paying taxes and getting kicked out,” Tammaro said. “I’ve never got anything from the city. Or the state.”

The man’s daughter also blasted the city.

“I don’t understand it at all. It’s not fair to anybody,” Barbara Annunziata said. “These migrants, they’re getting everything. They’re getting everything and I can’t get nothing for [Tammaro]. It angers me.”

She went on to state what many Americans have now realized: "They're worried about the migrants more than they're worried about the U.S. citizens."

According to Mayor Eric Adams, New York City is spending about $5 million per day to house and feed illegal immigrants.
