Trump Teases Schumer, Takes Jab at 'Fake Tears'

During the aftermath of Trump's immigration executive order, we have noticed a flurry of outcries, one of which happened to be NY Sen. Chuck Schumer (D). JFK airport, as expected, was of the most chaotic areas affected. With TSA agents in JFK eternally confused on the order and protesters rallying at the premises, things got intense, to say the least. However, Chuck Schumer's 'tears' have taken center stage.

In a tweet on January 27th, post-order signing, Schumer posted a photo of the Statue of Liberty.

Then on Sunday, Schumer continued to denounce Trump’s order. Following the example his Statue of Liberty post, Schumer held back tears in a conference while stating that the order was “mean-spirited and un-American.”

This, in effect, warranted a classic Trump response.

Trump has just finished the issue off in a press conference declaring that Schumer shed "fake tears" and that there is a 5 percent chance that they were real.

While Trump was able to blame issues on Delta, protesters, and Schumer's tears, he was still required to clarify a number of issues as his order produced a great amount of confusion for airports, especially in relation to green card holders.

In a statement posted Sunday morning, the Department of Homeland Security stated that the restriction was, “a first step towards re-establishing control over America’s borders and national security.”
