Well, we have a new tool to screen for the Wuhan Coronavirus in the U.S. Apple has unveiled a new screening app and website with the help of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Trump administration. This new development shows how American business and capitalism is being mobilized to fight this disease. This new product is meant to serve as a mecca of information on the virus as experts work to contain its spread and manufacture a vaccine (via CNET):

Apple on Friday released a COVID-19 website and app with a screening tool and other information about the coronavirus outbreak. Apple said the app and site are meant to "make it easy for people across the country to get trusted information and guidance at a time when the US is feeling the heavy burden of COVID-19."

They were developed in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the White House coronavirus task force and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Earlier this week, Apple updated its digital assistant Siri to help guide those worried about coronavirus symptoms. Summoned by asking Siri "do I have coronavirus," the assistant will respond with the survey that uses yes and no answers to try to guide people on potential next steps.

The company did stress that this app and website are not meant to act as a replacement to the new protocols instituted to contain the spread by health experts. Still, the more tools we have in the arsenal the better. We have My Pillow shifting production so they can dole out anywhere from 10-50,000 medical masks a day and distilleries being able to make hand sanitizer. Every aspect of American enterprise is doing what they can to help fight this virus.
