I'm So Sorry This Is Happening to You: A Requiem to All the Idiot Anti-Trump Liberals Who Palled Around with Michael Avenatti

Michael Avenatti is the classic case of someone who got ahead of their skis. He was anti-Trump. He represented Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against the president, which she lost. Then, he tried to take on Brett Kavanaugh and his Supreme Court nomination finding a total nutjob, Julie Swetnick, who alleged that the then-teenaged Kavanaugh was part of some gang-rape ring in high school. Like the other allegations, there was little evidence to corroborate it and most dismissed it outright. Avenatti probably helped in confirming Kavanaugh, as Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), a Republican who was on the fence, decided to vote in support, pretty much citing this allegation as one that showed the allegations against the now-sitting Supreme Court justice were totally unhinged. He pretty much lost relevancy, but when he was representing Daniels—he was the talk of the town. MSNBC, CNN, the late-night shows, The View, HBO, etc., every anti-Trump looney toon wanted to hear what he had to say because they thought he could take down Trump. Co-founder of The Federalist Sean Davis compiled the greatest hits from the liberal media and a few members of the Democratic Party who propped this clown up over the years. You just hate to see it:

You’ve had to chuckle a bit. Then, there was that brief period where he was mulling a presidential run. And then, the fall from grace. The guy’s actually a deadbeat. Oh, and he tried to extort Nike. During last night’s Democratic debate, he was arrested for violating the terms of his pretrial bail (via WaPo):

Michael Avenatti, the attorney who rose to prominence as the legal counsel for adult-film actress Stormy Daniels during her lawsuit against President Trump over a hush-money deal, was rearrested by IRS agents Tuesday evening after prosecutors alleged he continued to commit financial crimes while out on bail — including mail fraud, wire fraud and money laundering, court records show.

Avenatti — who is accused of extorting athletic apparel maker Nike for up to $25 million and stealing millions of dollars from those he once represented, including Daniels — was arrested while appearing before the State Bar Court in Los Angeles, in the middle of a disciplinary hearing alleging he stole about $840,000 from a former client.

Prosecutors alleged in court filings made public Wednesday that Avenatti had “brazenly attempted” to hide his money and defraud people and entities to whom he was millions of dollars in debt — including a former law partner he owed $5 million, a former client he owed $2.2 million, and an ex-wife he owed $2.5 million in spousal and child support.

“The fact that defendant continued to engage in criminal conduct after he had been indicted in this case and while on bond demonstrates that defendant remains a substantial economic danger to the community,” prosecutors wrote.

Avenatti is facing federal charges on both coasts in connection with myriad fraud allegations, though he had been allowed to remain free on bond. Prospective jurors in the first of his scheduled trials, having to do with the Nike allegations, were scheduled to show up at federal court in New York on Tuesday to begin the process of seeing who could serve on his case. But Judge Paul G. Gardephe summoned prosecutors and defense attorneys to a phone conference Wednesday and said Avenatti’s arrest “has essentially thrown the trial into chaos.”

Avenatti is expected to appear in federal court in Santa Ana, Calif., at 2 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday, when prosecutors will argue to a judge that he should remain in federal custody. Matthew D. Podolsky, a federal prosecutor with the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan, told Gardephe he understood his Los Angeles counterparts would make such a request, but he still believed Avenatti could be transported to New York for trial within 24 to 48 hours.

So, in closing, Mikey is a loser. And he’s allegedly broken laws, with a rap sheet that spreads from coast to coast. Meanwhile, Trump is still president, hasn’t broken any laws, and got Daniels to pay for his legal fees when she lost her lawsuit against him. You just beat him, folks.
