In recent years, transgender ideology has permeated the medical industry. In many cases, doctors are told to “affirm” a child’s gender identity, especially if there are other issues, like depression and suicidal ideation, involved.
Some children, like de-transitioner Chloe Cole, have undergone irreversible, life-altering “gender-affirming” surgery as minors and lived to regret it as adults. Many children who believe they are “transgender” but have not undergone surgery have received puberty blockers and hormone treatments.
Researchers at Do No Harm compiled a database late last year revealing the medical facilities that are providing this type of egregious care to children in the United States. This database is called DoesMyHospitalTransitionKids.com.
This week, one of these hospitals announced that it would stop transitioning children.
The hospital in question is Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) (via the Los Angeles Times):

Under mounting pressure from the Trump administration, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will shutter its longstanding healthcare program for trans children and young adults this summer, according to emails reviewed by The Times.
The Center for Transyouth Health and Development began telling its nearly 3,000 patient families of the closure on Thursday, saying there was “no viable alternative” that would allow the safety-net hospital to continue specialized care.
“There is no doubt that this is a painful and significant change to our organization and a challenge to CHLA’s mission, vision, and values,” hospital executives wrote to staff in a Thursday morning email.
The Center would officially shutter on July 22. This “follows a lengthy and thorough assessment of the increasingly severe impacts of federal administrative actions and proposed policies” an email read.
One mother of a transgender child told the Times that she is “enraged” that her child will no longer have access to this harmful “care.”
Transyouth is one of the oldest and largest programs to transition children around. It provides gender reassignment surgeries to children on public insurance.
